**Position Description:**
We are seeking a highly experienced Insurance Business Analyst with deep domain knowledge of the insurance industry and strong expertise in agency management systems, particularly Applied EPIC with Ivan + AL3 and Vertafore AMS and Guidewire PC, Majesco billing.
The ideal candidate will understand how AMS+ PAS (Policy admin) platforms interact with core insurance systems for Quote, Bind, and Issue processes from both agency and carrier perspectives. This role will play a key part in bridging the gap between business operations and technology.

**Your future duties and responsibilities:**
- Act as a subject matter expert on insurance agency management systems, focusing on Applied EPIC and Vertafore AMS360.
- Analyze, design, and support integrations between AMS platforms and core insurance systems (policy, rating, underwriting).
- Collaborate with product, underwriting, IT, and agency stakeholders to ensure smooth Quote, Bind, and Issue workflows.
- Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for AMS-related issues and enhancements.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training.

**Required qualifications to be successful in this role:**
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the insurance industry with a strong focus on AMS platforms.
- SME with hands-on experience with Applied EPIC and Vertafore AMS with data set knowledge is mandatory.
- In-depth understanding of Quote, Bind, and Issue workflows in a P&C insurance environment.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Business and Exposure Analyst to join our flood insurance analytics team in Miami. In this role, you will leverage your data analysis expertise and business insight to inform catastrophe modelling, manage exposure data, and support flood underwriting decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders – including underwriters, risk modelers, and management – to translate complex data into actionable insights. This position offers a hybrid work schedule (at least 3 days per week in-office) and requires 4–6 years of insurance exposure/CAT modelling analysis.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collect and prepare data: Gather, cleanse, and validate property exposure data (e.g. insured locations, values) to ensure accuracy for catastrophe risk modelling and analysis.
- Catastrophe modelling: Run and interpret flood catastrophe models and simulations to estimate potential losses for individual events and entire portfolios. Analyze model outputs to inform portfolio management strategies and reinsurance decisions.
- Exposure management: Monitor and manage the company’s flood insurance portfolio exposure, identifying concentrations of risk (by geography, construction type, etc.) and providing recommendations to optimize the portfolio’s risk profile and reshape appetites.
- Event analysis: Provide timely analysis and loss estimates during significant flood events (e.g. hurricanes) to support rapid decision-making and internal/external communications. Gather exposure data to inform key stakeholders of potential risk.

- Underwriting support: Support the flood underwriting team by providing data-driven insights for individual high-value accounts and policy renewals. This includes analyzing flood zone determinations, historical claims data, submission data and modelled loss estimates to assist in risk selection and pricing both algorithmic and analog. Improve sophistication of digital underwriting capabilities.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with underwriters, catastrophe modelling specialists, actuaries, and product managers to understand business needs and develop analytical solutions. Ensure that analytics align with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Communication of insights: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and communicate them to both technical and non-technical stakeholders (e.g. underwriting teams, executives), through presentations, reports, and visualizations.

The Insurance Strategy Manager applies deep business strategy development, architecting value and operating model architecture skills to influence client agendas through business insight. Partners with our clients to make bold decisions on priority C-Suite issues at the intersection of business, technology and operations. Provides deep understanding of our clients' industry landscape and business options in the context of global, economic, technology and social trends.
Client Delivery and Development:
- Developing trust-based relationships with senior clients - Shaping and leading business strategy and transformation engagements - Developing compelling responses to new business opportunities - Building and managing strong client and Accenture teams - Assessing and managing risks and issues and making adjustments as needed - Ensuring business outcomes are achieved
Practice Building:
- Develop expertise in specific practice specialty areas to increase the breadth and depth of our knowledge base and capabilities - Elevate our brand and presence in the marketplace (e.g. conference participation, thought leadership, offering development, recruiting) - Providing coaching and mentoring to analysts, consultants, and managers
- Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in business consulting to P&C or Life Insurance clients or insurance industry experience focused on operating model transformation, digital enablement, new product / new business incubation, market expansion, cost optimization or business process transformation across the insurance value chain.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience at an external consulting firm.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience driving C-Suite level decisions.
+ Bachelor's degree

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
