**JOB SUMMARY**
This is an outside sales position responsible for promoting the company's products and services and for building relationships with new and existing accounts. The main focus is to help Sysco customers succeed while achieving sales and profit goals established by the company. This position may require working some non-traditional hours (evening, weekends, and holidays) to successfully meet customers' needs.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and special objectives within assigned territory.
+ Seek and qualify prospects following company account stratification goals.
+ Research customer business needs and develops a mix of products and service to meet needs.
+ Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers, based on business needs and goals.

+ Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product use.
+ Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
+ Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, company meetings, etc.
+ Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collect all balances due based on approved credit terms.
+ Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (for example, out of stock items, special order items, low inventory, etc.).
+ Participate in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and customer events.
+ Attend and participate in general sales and district meetings.
+ Engage in ongoing training sessions.
+ Assist with the training of new employees as requested.
+ Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data.
+ Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, processing credits, and pick-up requests, preparing sales quotes and menu suggestions, and filing reports.
+ Other duties may be assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Required Education/Experience**
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline **OR** HSD/GED and 3 years Restaurant Management, B2B or outside sales experience, or equivalent relatable experience including completion of the Sysco Sales Internship.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Bi-Lingual

Outside Sales Representatives - Multi Dwelling Units are responsible for building relationships with property staff and residents in the multiple dwelling unit space. **Location and Schedule**
This is a full time position and will cover the Des Moines, IA area. The typical schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, and may also include occasional evenings and weekends.
**The Main Responsibilities**
- Meets with Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs) and indirect retail (IR) partners in the assigned territory. Engages assigned locations in existing and new programs offered by Lumen.
- Builds rapport with and trains ownership/management and leasing or sales personnel; explains roles and responsibilities; provides marketing materials; follows up via live visits and phone to ensure effective use of marketing materials; seeks out and creates opportunities to increase penetration and generate revenue.
- Identifies potential marketing and service contract opportunities, as well as business referrals, within the assigned territory. Participates in activities that promote Lumen products and services (e.g., trade fairs, city events). Works closely with other channels in marketing Lumens products and services.
- Handles customer inquiries regarding Lumen products and services, pricing, billing, referral programs, etc. Resolves and handles customer issues by providing exemplary customer service.
- Facilitates interdepartmental communication to resolve customer issues.
- Meets or exceeds revenue and assigned strategic product unit targets for assigned MDUs and IR partners. Ensures that assigned locations are following the existing agreements.
- Tracks and follows-up on pre-and post-sales activities, completes daily activity logs and sales reports, manages mileage and expense reports.
- Uses various systems (e.g., C+, SOMS) to process and check the status of service orders, as well as to make changes to existing customers' service.
- Facilitates the contract process. Obtains necessary credit information from customers, security deposits, verifies addresses, resolves discrepancies, and negotiates the installation dates and times with customers.

+ Identify and qualify leads through various channels, including phone calls and emails, to both new and existing customers.
+ Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and qualify prospects through discovery conversations.
+ Present and demonstrate the company-s products or services to prospective customers, taking a consultative approach by explaining the benefits and addressing any customer concerns.
+ Follow up on inbound inquiries and sales leads, ensuring timely and professional responses to prospects and customers.
+ Maintain and update customer information and sales activities in the CRM system. This includes keeping an extensive, up to date pipeline of opportunities 2x the si.
+ Assist customers with order placement, quotes, and provide necessary support throughout the sales cycle.
+ Coordinate with customer experience team members to deliver seamless customer experiences and address customer concerns.
+ Track sales performance and generate reports to analyze sales trends and identify improvement areas.
+ Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
+ Understand and display WLT-s values

**Minimum Requirements**
**Skills:**
+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Ability to build rapport with customers and handle objections effectively.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Goal-oriented with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
+ Willingness to learn and have an open mind.
+ Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
+ Ability to work under pressure.
**Education or Certification:**
+ Bachelors- degree or equivalent experience.
**Experience:**
+ Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in an inside sale or a similar role.
+ Proven experience in sales, customer service, or a similar role (inside sales experience preferred).

**Your Responsibilities**
As a TruGreen Territory Sales Representative, you can use your people skills to help new and existing customers find the right lawn care maintenance plans, both at people's homes and/or by phone. If you are focused, goal oriented, and have great communication skills, then this is the role for you!
**Job Requirements**
+ Experience working in a customer facing role is preferred.
+ Must be a gifted storyteller with an awesome personality who will make quality sales for TruGreen.
+ Reliable vehicle to transport yourself from the branch to property visits is required (mileage reimbursement OR car allowance is available).
+ Valid, current driver's license required; subject to pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record check, and proof of insurance required.
