The Microelectronics (μE) Product Line performs cutting-edge microelectronics research in its Science & Technology (S&T) area and delivers advanced microelectronic products in its three Development & Production areas that advance mission capabilities across commercial and defense applications. We are seeking a technology leader to join our S&T area to lead the Integrated Circuits Technical Group. The candidate will lead a team to engage with external and internal customers to build, win, and execute programs that support the research and development of RF, Mixed-Signal, Digital, and Photonic integrated circuits. They are expected to leverage their position, reputation, and technical expertise to build and maintain relationships with government S&T organizations such as OUSD, DARPA, etc. Additionally, the candidate is expected to define and advance the Integrated Circuits technical and programmatic roadmaps within the S&T area. The Integrated Circuits Technical Group Lead is responsible for:
  • Developing the portfolio strategy, with a research and development growth strategy
  • Operating as Principal Investigator or Program Manager for program(s) within the portfolio, setting technical/programmatic direction and guiding teams in executing complex research projects that regularly involving multiple technical fields
  • Growing the next generation of technology development managers and scientists through mentoring
  • Aligning external customer goals with internal business expectations for successful delivery of business salient
  • Collaborating with business areas to strategically align CRAD efforts with future programs of record
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required
This position reports directly to the Director of Microelectronics S&T and can be based out of our Burlington, MA; Lexington, MA; or Merrimack, NH facilities, though it will require collaboration with staff across our business areas and facilities in the Northeast.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format , with time split between working onsite and remotely.

  • Typical Education - Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of professional experience, Master’s Degree with 10+ years of professional experience, or Doctorate with 8+ years of professional experience.

  • Experience in leading teams to solve complex technical problems
  • Experience in new business capture, such as proposal writing and managing proposal efforts
  • Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities, willingness to perform a wide variety of related tasks, and exceptional oral and written skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting technical research to large audiences

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630

Network Engineers support the design, implementation, and optimization of the telco network solution used to provide FTI services. The candidate will collaborate with internal and external teams, and work independently on projects, including developing telco designs based upon FTI Network requirements.

We work on the development of high-performance and high-speed AMS circuits used in SerDes PHY, including evaluation of different circuit topologies for specific product requirements (e.g., Rx, CDR, Tx, bias generator, high-speed clock generation and low-jitter distribution, phase interpolator, DLL, VCO, LDO) with best in class power, performance, and area (PPA).

We lead discussions with multi-functional teams (e.g., architecture, SIPI, packaging, board design, DFT, ESD) to create and drive block-level specifications, mixed-signal implementations and behavioral modeling. We work closely with SOC teams to deliver IP views and ensure they meet the quality standards. While developing these complex IPs on regular basis, we interact with peers/management to communicate progress, discuss new ideas and drive new implementations/concepts making it an exciting and growth-oriented work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BSEE with 10+ years of proven experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate should have deep understanding of AMS design with experience in high-speed serial links.

  • Solid understanding of designing AMS circuit blocks including Bandgap, biasing circuits, LDO regulators, amplifiers, comparators, switched-cap circuits, ADCs, DACs, Oscillators, Filters
