Job Description

You will work alongside a team of engineers and industry professionals in one of the following areas:

  • Manufacturing Engineering: You will focus on launches and operational tasks by establishing and deploying technical solutions with standards for manufacturing and fabrication processes.
  • Manufacturing Operations : You will turn materials and labor into goods and services for our customers while focusing on process improvement, quality, delivery, safety, and productivity. These roles are at one of Rockwell Automation's multiple manufacturing locations in a in-person work arrangement.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement Engineering: You will have multiple responsibilities and work with team members within Rockwell Automation to ensure Rockwell delivers the highest quality and most reliable products, services and solutions to our customers.
  • Supply Chain and Planning : Focus on supply chain optimization to ensure growth. Work in one of several teams including Strategic Sourcing, Logistics, Transportation, or Production Planning.

Locations and work arrangements

Students will relocate to indicated work location for the duration of internship, and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation. Rockwell Automation provides relocation and housing support for those that qualify.

There are multiple location opportunities for these roles and location will be determined at time of offer.

  • Wisconsin : Milwaukee, Mequon, Middleton, Richland Center or Ladysmith
  • Ohio : Mayfield Heights or Twinsburg

Applicants will be considered for both hybrid and on-site (full-time in-person) work (arrangements are based on specific role requirements). This is a 40-hour-per-week assignment, Monday through Friday, lasting 10-12 weeks in the summer.

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university

Job Summary:

As the I ntegrated Supply Chain Site Lead, you will support the mission of our nation's defense systems and its service members. You will be a key stakeholder in helping to achieve Mercury's focus areas of predictable performance, a thriving growth engine, margin expansion, and cash release through delivery performance and inventory management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain key performance measures to drive MRP health including, but not limited to, PO's placed on time, kit starts on time, schedule adherence (on time to promise), on time to MRP (both supply and demand) and aging operations throughout the value stream.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of all supply chain functions onsite (planning, purchasing, material handling) to ensure that the required material meets the enterprise MRP.
  • Develop and manage performance to operations-related plans and budgets.
  • Maintain all material planning factors to ensure system health. Analyze the data integrity of ERP data (item attribute, BOM's and routings) to ensure proper MPS/MRP planning.
  • Shape policies and procedures ensuring efficient execution and delivery of the operating plan for the business.
  • Maintain supply chain risk and opportunity registers via regular reviews on clear to build assessments.
  • Drive inventory reduction activities to improve cash and increase turns while maintaining accuracy of inventory for entire site.
  • Support Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SI&OP) with monthly assessments of supply and demand constraint management plans.
  • Drive risk mitigation and opportunity strategies that enable the business to meet the annual operating plan (AOP) and work to resolve all constraints within the supply chain value stream.
  • Successful integration of new products into the manufacturing process including knowledge, experience, and proven adaptability with different manufacturing disciplines.
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all functions within Operations, program, and business teams. Ensures that a smooth flow of accurate and detailed information is maintained, problems are resolved, and required changes are implemented in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:

  • Typically requires BS/BA in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or related major.
  • Typically requires of 8 years' relevant experience planning and/or procurement in A& D contracting aerospace and defense.
  • Experience 5 years of leadership experience in a matrixed environment. (Direct Leadership)
  • Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 supply chain compliance.
