A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project. Including, estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation
  • Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate
  • Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
  • Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas
  • Oversee the buyout process and the selection of subcontractors
  • Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings on site
  • Prioritize numerous tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines to 100% completion
  • Communicate openly with leadership, team members and train coops/interns
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal responsibility and make sound decisions
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
  • Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes
  • Make necessary changes, use customer input to make improvements, and meet/exceed internal and external client expectations
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering degree
  • 1-3+ years of hands-on construction experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Field Engineer, or related internships
  • Preferred: Experience in Interiors Construction Market, including commercial office, retail, entertainment, adaptive reuse, etc.
  • Computer skills: proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
  • Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines, and continually re-evaluate the project priorities
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations

Job Description

Manage day-to-day construction field activities to ensure that project milestone dates and overall schedule completion dates are met. Review blueprints, customer needs and contractor submissions in order to execute appropriate bids. Lead team with construction project planning and developing site logistics. Monitor subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and safety guidelines are met. Utilize good time management to ensure timely completion of projects. Keep daily and weekly work logs. Coordinate and supervise all construction activities. Work directly with investors at times and maintain a professional and client facing attitude. Ensure proper signage is posted on the construction job site, and safety requirements are met.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field is preferred. 4+ years as a construction superintendent for a general contractor. OSHA certification (preferred). Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Experience leading ground-up construction projects and managing a large team. Mid-rise experience, preferably with diverse projects. Proven track record of effectively and efficiently managing job sites. Working knowledge of field construction: systems, practices, safety and procedures. Also, knowledge of general engineering principals and construction techniques, materials, methods, and sequencing. Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.

Job Description:
+ Reports to Director of Architecture and Senior Architectural Designer
+ Supports Director of Architecture and Senior Architectural Designer for projects from Schematic Design through Construction Administration
+ Develops project designs and details with Director of Architecture and Senior Architectural Designer and coordinates with Architectural Designer for implementation into Revit or CAD
+ Manages and works with Architectural Designer in the preparation of drawing sets in Revit or CAD
+ Coordinates Revit and CAD drawing standards with Director of Architecture and Senior Architectural Designer and maintains Revit and CAD templates for new projects; relays drawings standards to Architectural Designer
+ Relays project drawing status, as necessary, with updates from Architectural Designer to Director of Architecture or Senior Architectural Designer
+ References project information in Studio Designer, as needed, as entered by Designers
+ During Construction Administration, reviews submittals for accuracy and reviews with Director of Architecture or Senior Architectural Designer for submission to GC/builder
Qualifications:
+ Degree in Architecture
+ 5+ years of experience
+ Must have experience working with high-end residential projects and clientele
+ Revit and AutoCAD Proficiency

Project Manager - Interiors/Tenant Improvement

We are looking for a Project Manager with 3 or more years commercial construction experience that is ready to take on a new challenge and opportunity!

We are a Commercial General Contractor with a strong niche in the Interiors and Tenant Improvement market and we have a strong backlog of exciting projects ahead of us! This position will be responsible for working closely with the Leadership Team to ensure every project is being managed and tracking on schedule and on or under budget. The responsibilities will include everything from exposure to the design and entitlement and permitting processes to estimating, pricing, subcontractor coordination, contract management, value engineering, change orders, RFI's, working with the local city and county and also working closely with the clients making sure their project is perfect.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for all project direction, planning, completion, and financial outcome. In order to succeed in this position, the candidate must be organized and have excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all project documentation
  • Prepare project schedule and manage deadlines
  • Assist with estimation and bidding process
  • Effectively communicate project progress to key stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 2-5 years' of relevant experience

Responsibilities include developing conceptual interior designs, creating detailed design development documents, including floor plans, elevations, and specifications for finishes, furniture, and lighting. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, from initial client meetings and concept development through to construction administration. This position involves collaborating closely with clients to understand their vision and translate it into a cohesive and inspiring interior space. You will also work alongside project architects and other consultants to ensure seamless integration of interior design with the overall building design. Licensure as a Registered Architect (RA) or Certified Interior Designer (CID) is highly preferred.
