To assist the customer with aircraft interior selection and definition. Prepares various items (spec/material swatch boxes/customer samples/etc.), to allow customer to make a final decision. Provide interior design guidance to other designers as required. Operates under general guidance utilizing procedures to assist Sales and Marketing with the sales of Textron aircraft. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Assists the customer in selection of their aircraft interior equipment, furnishings, and material selections. This applies to new production jet, piston, and turboprop customers as well as existing refurbishment customers and new program development.
+ Coordinates and/or prepares the formal interior specification document, equipment sketches, material swatch boxes, interior renderings, etc., which are generated from the customer visit.
+ Follows through with suppliers on specialty or custom materials which are generated from the spec session.
+ With custom items, coordinates with the supplier to generate sufficient samples to allow the customer to make a final decision.
+ Coordinates and/or creates new or updated interior designs. This activity begins with the formation stages of a project and extends through production incorporation.
+ Provides interior selection ideas for possible use on demonstration, special missions, and general unsold aircraft.
+ Assists with selections on new or update projects for the Textron Aviation mockups.
+ Monitors, tracks, and reports progress of interior design projects to Interior Design staff.
+ Supports facilities projects as requested.
**Qualifications**

Interface with and serve as resource person to University departments and outside professionals; answer inquiries, resolve problems and refer highly technical questions to senior professional staff.
Attend professional seminars and symposiums; review literary magazines and informational guides to keep abreast of interior design related business furniture space planning and construction administration procedures.

Work Environment
This position is based out of our Rockville, Maryland office location for local candidates. After six months of employment, a hybrid work arrangement is available, with an expectation of working three days per week in the office, at a client site, or at off-site locations for company-sponsored events as needed. Enjoy our brand new Class A office space with free parking. Our firm consists of 55-60 team members, with project teams varying in size from 2-5 or 8+ depending on project scope. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $38.00/hr.

The Interior Designer supports projects that include space utilization, art inventory, art selection, textile selection and design to include the completion of functional and visually arresting spaces. + The candidate shall support the government Architect with detailed planning and execution of interior design, furniture, art and branding projects.
