Job Summary: In this role, the International Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for all shipping transactions associated with AMF machines and parts from the United States to our bakery customers and AMF affiliates around the world. The ideal candidate will have prior import/export documentation experience, great organizational skills, strong communication skills, a proactive customer service mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills.

How will you impact AMF (responsibilities and duties):
- Performs a wide variety of duties related to the handling of imports and exports and other foreign transactions.
- Controls and evaluates international transportation for raw and finished inventory and ensures that proper classification and regulations are followed.
- Assists in establishing the company's process parameters, and capabilities and assembles information for management.
- Files the documents required for exports/imports in a timely manner.
- Handles technical details relating to domestic and international transportation, such as customs regulations and any necessary documentation.
- Ensures proper classification of materials to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS code).
- Responsible for ISF filings, posting shipments, any required export/import documents, and updating and distributing in-transit reports.
- Verifies & approves both international and domestic logistics invoices and handles any issues and disputes.
- Prepares freight quotes for various departments including sales, purchasing, and shipping.
- Follows instructions and implements policies and other duties as determined by management and in compliance with our Purchasing, Accounting, Shipping, and/or Sales/Parts department.
- Uses IT systems to manage delivery times and transport costs and uses the data to evaluate and plan improvements. This includes tracking orders, improving customer service by using IT data for on-time delivery, and import customization if needed.
- Communicates with domestic and international partners such as freight forwarders, brokers, or truck lines to procure essential information to route air, freight, rail, or ocean shipments.
- Addresses any problems or complaints that may arise quickly and amicably.
- Strong customer service skills, creating and maintaining long-term relationships, providing shipment status and cost, coordinating shipments between the customer and their vendor, corresponding directly with the customer, and resolving customer issues.
- Maintain the wood receipt and usage log; documentation to support the contract for wood packaging material (ISPM15), communicate and respond to auditors.
- Support warehouse and other teams as needed.

**About the Role**
The Import/Export Compliance Specialist at CBRE is responsible for managing international trade operations to ensure compliance with global regulations. This role is responsible for import/export documentation, reviews SDS for dangerous goods, and coordinates with internal teams and external partners. Key responsibilities include tracking shipments, inputting SLIs via freight forwarder portals, and maintaining daily reports. A strong understanding of Export Administration Regulations, DOT, and IATA is critical. This position supports global business operations and ensures all trade activities align with company policies and legal standards.
**What You'll Do**
Prepare and review export and import documentation to ensure compliance with Export Administration Regulations and other relevant laws.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to facilitate the timely shipment and delivery of goods.
Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipment status to ensure timely and efficient operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientist, logistics, and compliance, to resolve any issues related to import/export processes.
Conduct regular audits of export transactions to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
Support C-TPAT certification process through continuous oversight and improvement.
**What You'll Need**
+ High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience. May require equipment certification for forklifts, aerial lifts, and power pallet jacks.
+ Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
+ Experience in shipping dangerous goods by DOT, IATA, and IMDG preferred.
+ Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
+ Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
+ Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality.
+ Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

- Follow indications contained in the Internal Work Regulations regarding safety, when inspecting material, take care of the equipment, materials, facilities, and other resources owned by the company since they belong to the client
- Perform its activities according to the method, instructions and specifications authorized and updated applicable to the Customs Department.
- Maintain close communication with our customers to know the new materials and products, for the timely requirement of import permits.
- Report any damage/missing to Supervisors and clients. Maintain quality standards.
- It is responsible for supporting activities such as Product Inventories by client, Inventories of Raw Materials, quality assurance, as well as administrative activities of the department.
- It is responsible for developing, controlling, and continuously monitoring the project assigned to it for the improvement of internal customs processes.
- Keep track of incident reports related to quality discrepancies.
- Verify custom paperwork accuracy.
- Trailer number verification, skid quantity, trailer seal, and dispatch.
