As the International Tax Manager, a national business line role, you'll be responsible for the management and delivery of U.S. international tax services for clients across various industries and market segments. You'll collaborate closely with partners and managing directors while teaming with managers, associates, and other teammates from around the globe to help clients identify and solve complex business problems through deploying a wide range of Grant Thornton solutions in a collaborative manner, ensuring quality above all, because together is how we succeed.

Your day-to-day may include:
- Managing and monitoring multiple client services teams on client engagements; planning, executing, directing, and completing international tax projects; providing innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; and managing engagements to budget
- Managing the delivery of a full range of international tax services and advising U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the tax implications of their international operations as well as coordinating U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to assist in developing an efficient worldwide tax strategy
- Consulting with clients on tax-efficient structuring of international transactions, effective use of tax treaties, planning related to offshore investment activities and repatriation strategies to minimize U.S. and foreign income taxes
- Conducting primary and secondary review of complicated or complex international tax returns to ensure quality
- Working closely with partners, managers, and associates to integrate practice development skills into a team approach to client service and new business development
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum five to seven years of progressive tax consulting experience, preferably with at least three years focused on international taxation
- Experience with a large accounting firm, law firm, or corporate tax department of a multinational company
- CPA or JD/active law license required
- Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in U.S. tax compliance and consulting
- Strong computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Can travel as needed

- Lead the analysis and calculation of international tax provisions including BEAT, GILTI, Subpart F, and foreign tax credits under U.S. tax rules.
- Oversee the management and technical documentation of APB 23 assertions for unremitted earnings and the related outside basis differences.
- Manage FIN 48 positions relevant to international operations and maintain documentation and support for audit readiness.
- Support the implementation and ongoing compliance with OECD Pillar 2 rules, in collaboration with the transfer pricing group and external advisors.
Structuring, M&A, and Special Projects
- Provide tax input on cross-border restructurings, mergers, acquisitions, legal entity rationalizations, and integration efforts.
- Conduct technical tax research and modeling to evaluate planning opportunities and risks across the international footprint.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external advisors to assess the tax implications of proposed and executed transactions.
Compliance & Oversight
- Partner with the broader tax and controllership teams to ensure accurate international tax provision inputs under ASC 740.
- Coordinate the review of U.S. international tax forms prepared by external service providers, including Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, and 8865, as well as BEAT, GILTI and Subpart F reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance filings and work closely with advisors to address any technical or data-related issues.
- Provide guidance on the impact of international tax laws, including new legislation and administrative guidance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Treasury, Legal, FP&A, and Controllership to ensure tax considerations are integrated into strategic decisions.
- Support external auditors and internal controls related to international tax matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or Master's in Taxation strongly preferred.
- 610 years of relevant experience in international tax at a Big 4 firm or within a large multinational tax department.
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. international tax rules (Subpart F, BEAT, GILTI, FTC, APB 23) and OECD Pillar 2.

Job Description/Responsibilities
The International Tax Manager will provide oversight, leadership, and development of the compliance and tax accounting team. The position will work cross-functionally and collaborate closely across the controlling, treasury and IT teams to support and operationalize tax and business strategies. - Utilize CDS system to identify training needs and design development curriculum, programs and content for the purpose of preparing for career opportunities within the company. Provide feedback to manager regarding on-the-job learning opportunities.
- Manage the U.S. international tax compliance process, including GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, interest expense allocations and stewardship expense allocations. Maintain proper documentation to support various tax related attributes, including earnings and profits, foreign taxes paid, book and tax differences, review other aspects of the U.S. international tax compliance process.
- Challenge, develop and improve processes to drive efficiencies and improve performance. - Lead the management of international issues raised in U.S. tax audits.

- Assist in the preparation and review of the tax accounting provision process for international operations. Manage the U.S. international tax compliance processes, including coordinating with external advisors and reviewing and finalizing the documentation.
- Assist with global structuring initiatives, including where to locate and operate, choice of entity, how to optimize supply chains, and how to access and mobilize capital to fund global operations, considering a multinationals tax profile, global effective tax rate, and cash position. Monitor changes in U.S. international tax laws, foreign tax legislation and treaties worldwide and assist in analyzing the impact to the company.

Summary
The International Tax Specialist will be one of the subject matter experts in international tax. This professional role is responsible for all aspects of international tax including but not limited to reporting, compliance, research, audit support, balance sheet reconciliation, process improvement, providing management with financial insights and special projects as assigned. Job Description/ResponsibilitiesThe International Tax Manager will provide oversight, leadership, and development of the compliance and tax accounting team. The position will work cross-functionally and collaborate closely across the controlling, treasury, and IT teams to support and operationalize tax and business strategies. Strong focus on developing and demonstrating new skills, standardizing processes, and enhancing technology. The role will be responsible for tax compliance and reporting for the consolidated group. This position can be hybrid in Louisville, KY or Carrollton, TX.
- Conduct PDS reviews to improve skills and performance utilizing PDS as tool to conduct optimal performance discussions, articulate consistent skill evaluations, recommend actions and tactics, and measure progress. Support the widespread use of PDS within the finance organization. Promote and support Company culture within the finance organization.
- Utilize CDS system to identify training needs and design development curriculum, programs and content for the purpose of preparing for career opportunities within the company. Provide feedback to manager regarding on-the-job learning opportunities.
- Manage the U.S. international tax compliance process, including GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, interest expense allocations and stewardship expense allocations. Maintain proper documentation to support various tax related attributes, including earnings and profits, foreign taxes paid, book and tax differences, review other aspects of the U.S. international tax compliance process.
- Challenge, develop and improve processes to drive efficiencies and improve performance. Develop/Recommend processes that are aligned with company policies and programs; communicate processes, provide training as needed to ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement and flawless execution of all processes and systems.
- Lead the management of international issues raised in U.S. tax audits.
- Monitor, manage, and implement additional US and foreign compliance in response to changes in U.S. and foreign tax laws, including any reporting necessary for the BEPS initiatives, MDR, etc.
- Assist in the preparation and review of the tax accounting provision process for international operations. Manage the U.S. international tax compliance processes, including coordinating with external advisors and reviewing and finalizing the documentation.
- Assist with global structuring initiatives, including where to locate and operate, choice of entity, how to optimize supply chains, and how to access and mobilize capital to fund global operations, considering a multinationals tax profile, global effective tax rate, and cash position. Monitor changes in U.S. international tax laws, foreign tax legislation and treaties worldwide and assist in analyzing the impact to the company.
