As a Senior Indirect Tax Advisor, you will be a valuable member on tax planning, advisory, and compliance projects supporting the various Chevron businesses. You will continue to grow your technical knowledge in state and local indirect taxation by working on complex projects, have access to great resources, and continue to develop your leadership skills. Specific responsibilities will include:
+ Assisting with various state and local indirect tax advisory projects including sales & use and excise tax process reviews, tax implications on major transactions, audit and tax technology strategies
+ Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline workflow
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams
+ May be assigned to lead/support special projects, including integration and digital initiatives
+ May oversee external engagements
An extensive understanding of U.S. indirect taxes is a necessity, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with peers and varied groups of stakeholders.
