Job Summary
Responsible for supporting IT Director in all elements related to desktop PC's, laptops, wiring, VOIP, servers, mobile communication devices, and more. Also provide support to end-users, including help-desk calls and on-site support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Desktop Support, including travel to Company's 15 locations on Long Island, in NYC, New Jersey, Westchester and in the Capital Region.
- Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, including but not limited to PC's/workstations/ laptops, phones, video and sound.
- Assist with wiring.
- End user support, including phone and on-site support for hardware and software issues.
- Technical support, including user training and troubleshooting for PC, server, storage, hardware and software products, including all MS office products and customized software.
- Support and corporate telephone infrastructure, including voicemail system and telephone devices.
- Install/upgrade desktop/ laptop software.
- Apply fixes/patches to software.
- Install/replace computer hardware.
- Support backups.
- Some Microsoft Windows Server support.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Basic knowledge of Google Suite.
- Fluency with Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office products required.
- Valid driver license.
- Reliable transportation to travel to Company's 15 locations.
- Experience in troubleshooting desktop applications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Windows OS, TCP/IP, and networks.
- Some understanding of Mac/Apple hardware, apps and OS.
- Ability to comfortably interact with all levels of management.

COMPENSATION: $30.00 per hour

Job Description: The Network Support focus will be helping resolve support tickets surrounding VoIP, port/cable checks, Wireless network connectivity issues for staff, faculty, and students, UPS replacements, inventory/data gathering, and other various duties.
This role has the ability to be a hybrid role, but does require on-site attendance during normal business hours (8a-5p EST), after-hours work, and up to 2 days remote, with Director approval. During the on boarding and learning process, it will be expected the role would be on-site.
Under broad supervision, combines strong technical skills with knowledge of network administration. Provides technical support to development team members. Work on one or more projects of high complexity within areas of expertise.
• Collaborate with the Network Team and Department Director to ensure network security and connectivity.
• Provide end-user support for Tier-1 and Tier-2 level network issues based on business priorities.
• Assist in deploying/maintaining core switches/routers.
• Deploy, maintain, and manage telephone system: SIP (session initiation protocol) , PRI (primary rate interface), and VoIP (voice over internet protocol).
• Maintain host name servers and their IP addresses which include DNS (domain named service) and DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol).
• Maintain VLAN and IP address schemas.
• Ensure proxy authentication through NPS (network policy service) and Radius.
• Resolve escalations on an array of end-user telephony issues, and wireless and wired networking problems.
• Configure/deploy/troubleshoot WAPs (wireless access points) and their controllers and management systems.
• Be on-call 24x7 in case of emergency network issues and to handle any outages relating to the network/telephony.
• Manage day-to-day administration of Campus Switches, Routers, and Firewall and their supporting applications.
• Document completed projects and tasks.
• Insure efficiency, security, reliability, usability, and scalability of network equipment through proactive monitoring and automation.
• Research and make recommendations to improve networking and telecommunications standards and processes.
• Maintain VoIP Call Center, hunt groups, and call routing.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues with little intervention from others or documentation.

Qualifications:
• 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience.

Job Description:
HPE Aruba is seeking a skilled Network Support Engineer to provide technical expertise for our industry-leading networking solutions. This mid-level position focuses specifically on HPE Aruba ClearPass, AirWave, and Central On-Prem platforms. You will troubleshoot network security issues, manage customer escalations, and ensure high availability and performance of HPE Aruba solutions.
As a Network Support Engineer, you will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and retention by resolving complex technical issues and ensuring network reliability. Your expertise will help maintain HPE Aruba's reputation for excellent product quality and support, directly impacting our market position in the enterprise networking sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide premium-level technical support for HPE Aruba ClearPass (NAC), AirWave (network monitoring), and Central On-Prem (network management).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA), RADIUS, TACACS+, and 802.1X issues.
- Support network monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting using HPE Aruba AirWave.
- Manage configurations, troubleshoot device connectivity, and optimize network performance with HPE Aruba Central On-Prem.
- Collaborate with enterprise customers, partners, and internal teams to resolve critical issues.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring network security and management issues.
- Assist customers with software upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Work with HPE Aruba engineering and product teams to identify bugs, propose enhancements, and improve platform stability.
- Document troubleshooting procedures and best practices.
- Support network integration with Active Directory, LDAP, PKI, SAML, OAuth, and third-party security solutions.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 4-6 years of experience in network engineering and support roles.
- Experience with enterprise networking equipment, preferably HPE Aruba products.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in RADIUS, TACACS+, and LDAP for secure authentication and access control.
- In-depth understanding of 802.1X, PKI, firewalls, VPNs, endpoint security, and encryption standards.
- Experience working with HPE Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ISE, or similar AAA solutions.
- Experience with AirWave and Central On-Prem for network monitoring and management.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in log analysis, packet captures, and debugging complex network issues.
- Familiarity with Python, Bash, and automation tools (a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, technical documentation skills, and customer communication.
- Proven ability to manage critical customer escalations in fast-paced environments.

- Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP).
- Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP).
- Aruba Certified Network Security Expert (ACNX).

This program is a highly demanding mission and requires expert technical and professional management to support the Army's global wide area network and security infrastructure. You will be supporting a large and complex network migration and operations for the US Army. This role will include leadership of operations support staff and directing operational support activities for a global network.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate and maintain secure network solutions operated as a centralized enterprise capability for the US Army.

Partner with key stakeholders and technical experts to perform legacy environment discovery, assessing current capabilities, configurations, and requirements to provide tier III support for the Army global network.

Analyze and understand secure wide area connectivity inclusive of underlay, overlay, and transport design that supports performance, quality of service, security, and mission requirements.
