**Description**
Job Summary: The Interventional Vascular Specialist I provides quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional vascular procedures in the interventional vascular suite and hybrid operating room. Job Duties: - Understands and works with x-ray system, including panning table and recognizing different angles. - Manages access site including proper removal of sheath, assessment of hematoma and knowledge of hematoma management. Understands concepts of radiation safety. - Able to communicate effectively with team, patients, families and medical staff. - Assists in scrub role for basic Interventional vascular procedures such as fistulagrams, central line placement, abdominal-aortal arteriograms with run-off, stent placement, angioplasty. - Able to circulate, monitor and perform post procedure filming of cases.  - Knowledgeable in vascular anatomy and recognizing different types of lesions. - Basic knowledge of supply features and applications to procedure. - Knowledge and adherence to sterile technique. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Education: Graduate of accredited school of radiologic OR cardiovascular technology. 2. Summary:

+ Operates nuclear medicine computers to enhance the diagnostic value of information obtained from nuclear medicine procedures.
+ Follows internal protocols when processing computer studies to achieve high quality films by choice of filters, slice selection, display parameters, image intensity and labeling techniques.
+ Maintains records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements. Logs patient dose administered, progress notes and other pertinent data.
+ Schedules patients for nuclear medicine examinations and questions patients and/or review patient charts for facts of patient history which are pertinent to interpretation of nuclear medicine examinations by the radiologist.
+ Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician. Administers and records isotope dosages in accordance with established departmental protocol.
+ Observes patients during procedures and reports any abnormal activity.
+ Collects, prepares, and analyzes biologic specimens and prepares data for interpretation.

Provide technical assistance for selected diagnostic and interventional invasive procedures. Scrub assist for all diagnostic and interventional procedures, to include preparation and manipulation of catheters, guide-wires and other devices. Injection of contrast media and medications from the sterile field as directed and supervised by the physician. Documentation of procedures and patient information according to hospital policy. Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program.
• Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or registered as a Technologist (RT) certified in vascular sonography (VS) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• No prior experience required.
• BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hosp Central, US:CO:Colorado Springs

Department: Peripheral Vascular Lab

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Flex

Pay: $40.40 - $6.56 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program.
• Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or registered as a Technologist (RT) and certified in vascular sonography (VS) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Minimum Experience: None required.
• BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
