**Summary**
We are actively recruiting for an Hourly Interviewer for our Mount Vernon, WA facility. This position is reponsible for helping manage the staffing levels in the operation by recruiting and selecting qualified candidates. The Hourly Interviewer is the face of the Company to the community and prospective employees. This position also will help orientate new associates to the Company.
**Benefits**
This position has a target wage of $23.00 - $27.00 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

**Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for maintaining operations labor force and overhead numbers as required
+ Develop and maintain a network of contacts to identify and source qualified candidates via on-line recruiting resources, local community involvement, and local institutions (i.e., colleges and the Employment Security Commission).
+ Conduct phone screens and interviews of potential candidates
+ Utilize all HR reporting tools (i.e., labor force, headcount, and other required reports) to perform audits and generate reports.
+ Inform management on trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to remain competitive
+ Coordinate internal and external job fairs, college visits, and other recruiting events
+ Make employment offers meeting legal and Company criteria
+ Maintain all necessary legal and regulatory documents
+ Collaborate with team members to achieve HR metrics goals
**Minimum Education**
AA degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent related experience plus 2 - 3 years of related work experience preferred.

**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Interviewers are responsible for implementing under unpredictable and varying field conditions a complex data collection protocol consisting of 2 separate visits to respondents' homes.
+ Interviewers are expected to locate and make initial contact with potential participants, including utilization of electronic searches and multiple contact attempts; traveling within a radius of 2-hours from Baltimore; conducting 2-3 hour long structured interviews using a tablet; administering a series of cognitive, vision, and hearing tests; taking physical measurements such as height, weight, grip strength, and blood pressure; instructing participants in the use of simple at-home sleep monitoring technology (actigraphy); and collecting buccal swabs, if needed.
+ Tasks such as data entry, performing quality control functions, and administrative tasks are required.
+ In addition to face-to-face interviews, some portion of data will be collected by telephone later in the study. They will also conduct short telephone interviews with other designated informants.
+ Interviewers are expected to adhere to the highest standards of human subjects protection and will be required to complete related IRB trainings, HIPAA training, and to sign a confidentiality agreement. Efficiency and quality of work will be monitored for adherence to study protocol and budget constraints.
+ Work will be part-time, casual, with an expected range of 15-27 hours per week. Workflow will vary from week to week and the study cannot guarantee a set number of hours per week. Compensation will be provided for travel as well as time. The study is expected to last for about 2.5 years from the date of training.
+ This role will require driving up to 2 hours at a time, traveling from the office to participants' homes. Some evening and weekend work will be required. You will also be responsible for carrying equipment from office to car to participant's homes (will include a tablet computer, blood pressure cuff, scale, and a dynamometer, and one briefcase containing cognitive testing materials).
+ Machines/equipment used: Interviewers will record participant responses on a tablets during two 2-4 hour long home visits. They will also measure blood pressure using a cuff, measure grip strength with a dynamometer and will weigh participants using a standard weight scale. They will need to instruct the participants on the use of an actigraph wristband.
+ Interviewers report to the Study Coordinator, who provides assignments and guidance during the study. After receiving a caseload of potential participants, interviewers will work individually and relatively independently to locate, contact and interview participants, providing updates at each stage. Interviewers are expected to make weekly office visits for one-to-one meetings, which are intended to review case progress and troubleshoot problems. Interviewers are also required to come into the office for regularly scheduled team huddles and debriefings.
+ Interviewers will undergo a mandatory ~6-week paid training program at approximately 15-17 hours per week, which includes capped hours of practice. Successful candidates will be responsible for participating in and passing all training certifications to continue with employment. Candidates will be limited to two attempts to pass each certification evaluation; if certifications are not successfully obtained either within the two-attempt limit, or within the 2-week certification period, employment will be discontinued.
+ After the training period, field interviewers are expected to attend one-to-one meetings, periodic debriefings, additional training, and individual coaching/mentoring sessions with quality control staff and/or Sr. Field Interviewers.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Accuracy, attention to detail, organization of materials, and ability to manage time effectively are needed in order to succeed as a Field Interviewer.
+ Proficiency with laptops, tablets, computers, and MS Office applications or ability to learn relatively quickly is expected.
+ Prior experience handling confidential data and/or administering cognitive assessment measures are not essential, as some training will be provided, but would be a significant advantage.
+ Excellent communication skills and flexibility are a must for this role.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with the public as well as family "gatekeepers", while keeping data confidential is important. Interviewers need to also be able to communicate effectively with the study team and show willingness to engage in continuous skills development.
+ Interviewers will need to be able to easily build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds, at times in unpredictable and chaotic environments.
+ Creative problem solving and grit in the face of challenges is essential for the successful completion of the required work.

**POSITION SUMMARY:** The forensic interviewer is responsible for conducting forensic interviews of children and developmentally disabled adults suspected of having been sexually and or physically abused, neglected, and/or witness to violence. Attends basic and advanced forensic interview training; and attendance/participation at trainings deemed relevant by direct supervisor and/or Board members.
+ Prepares for, attends, and presents testimony in court hearings including both civil and criminal court, providing written documentation and expert testimony on aspects of the interview process as well as testimony as a fact witness on specific interviews in individual cases. Keeps current with research related to issue of abuse to support the legal defensibility of forensic interviews and abuse disclosures.
+ Conducts High Risk Behavior Assessments for children and adolescents when there are risks of child sex trafficking. This includes completing an additional 40 hours of training related to human trafficking and remaining current in research and issues related to human and child sex trafficking.
+ Participates in the Pennsylvania State Chapter of Forensic Interviewers for trainings, peer review, and support.
+ Acts as a community liaison with all involved agencies and promotes the Lancaster County Children's Alliance model of child abuse intervention.
+ Maintains skills in age-specific competencies, related to children, in areas of child abuse, family violence, child development, memory and suggestibility of children.
+ Maintains records of interviews and keeps statistics for case tracking purposes.
+ Facilitates team decision-making to ensure child safety, family case planning and legal integrity of the case. Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration with partner agencies, and clients to ensure quality of service delivery.
+ Facilitates a psycho-educational group for Non-Offending Caregivers, providing written documentation, assessments and recommendations.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:
+ Provides coverage for non-traditional hours as necessary.
+ Participates in the on-call responsibilities for this position as required.

**MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.

- Project Duration: April – September 2025 (Some may finish earlier based on location and availability)
- Paid Training: Combination of virtual and in-person field training
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (varies based on location and facility needs). Hours include time at facilities, drive time, paid breaks every 4 hours, and a 30-minute paid lunch for team check-ins and planning. Please note that drive time can be outside the hours of 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an enthusiastic, communicative, and detail-oriented individual to work as a field interviewer for our Cognitive Health Research study team. Our field studies seek to evaluate how lifecourse risk and protective factors affect cognitive decline later in life. The interviewer may work across any one of our active field studies but will likely recruit and interview participants for the Study of Healthy Aging in African Americans (STAR). The 3 field studies include: Study of Healthy Aging in African Americans (STAR), Kaiser Healthy Aging and Diverse Life Experiences (KHANDLE), and Life After 90 (LA90).The ideal candidate will be someone committed to furthering research in aging populations.
The RAI will screen, recruit and schedule participants for clinic- and home-based in-person interviews. The RAI will administer a structured interview including a detailed questionnaire about life experiences, a cognitive test battery, and the collection of physical measurements. The RAI will also assist with in-office administrative support for the team as needed. The interviewer should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a professional telephone manner. Evening and weekend work required (as recruitment dictates) to accommodate working participants. This may require regular communication with participants in the early evening and the ability to complete study visits outside of regular working hours.
Coordinates small scale project(s) e.g., less than one year, under 100k annually. Works under general supervision. Final review required for each phase of assignment.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Coordinates recruitment of participants and develops information packets for the participants. Monitors and tracks participant progress throughout the project and provides follow-up as needed. Assists with development of research instruments. Trains research assistants.
