- Own delivery schedules and ensure on-time performance aligned with customer needs.
- Support the Supplier Improvement Process and drive performance metrics.
Operational Execution (Internal Candidates):
- Audit incoming parts on warehouse floor (e.g., review pink stickers).
- Validate part numbers, quantities, and packaging accuracy.
- Resolve receiver errors by:
- Claiming and processing the case
- Uploading and validating packing slips
- Creating expected receipts in the system
- Uploading supporting documentation and updating status
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Planning, Quality, Operations).
- Ensure cases are processed in a timely manner and appropriately resolved (e.g., return, scrap, shelf placement).

- Materials Planning System Utilization: Primary system knowledge with occasional use of tools like Excel, Access, OMS.

Summary/Objective

Essential Functions
- Establishes collaborative relationships with VP of Sales, Sales Zone Directors, Segment & Sales Team members, Distribution Management and Demand Planning to devise and establish evolving inventory management systems.
- Support the Demand Plan Team Process regarding SKU Mix and Monthly Ordering including analysis on changes to the business plan to optimize cost, cycle times and inventory levels by location (Virtual/Physical).
- Challenge statistical methodology (trending, growth, seasonality, cycles) for line of sight to future demand and inventory requirements.
- Performs appropriate statistical analysis using shipment, consumption, and other sources of data to measure weekly product sell-out in support of Demand Planning reorder process.
- Analysis & Reporting of out-of-network shipments for corrected product placement.
- Support Demand Plan Team & Distribution on analysis of product transfers as necessary to relocate inventory based on demand requirements across current and future distribution networks.
- Systemic processing of Transfer Orders in ERP and WMS; both actual transfers and virtual transfers
- Management of all Distribution locations Item Journal Entries for scrap, damaged goods, missing inventory, Tire & Wheel assembly movements, and cycle count processes and variations.
- Evaluate Slow Moving & Obsolete Inventory process for development of sell-out programs.
- Collaborating with Finance on Inventory Revaluation process using Inventory Reserves
- All other duties as assigned.

- Advanced Excel skills are mandatory (complex formulas, modeling, trend, seasonality, etc.).
- Strong experience working in a Global multi-entity environment is an asset.
- Candidate is required to participate in after hour bi-weekly/monthly calls with global manufacturing team.

**JOB SUMMARY**
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for supporting DC Operations from a systems perspective by maintaining item balance and transactional integrity between PeopleSoft and High Jump. This position works as part of a team to support DC Operations by understanding the interactions of the Company's computer systems as related to the physical activities of the business. Position involves reconciling item balances on a daily basis along with transactional analysis, various levels of transaction processing, shipment discrepancy investigation and resolution.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Reconcile PeopleSoft and High Jump balances on a daily basis by utilizing various reports (i.e., Inventory Reconciliation Report). Investigate and resolve BCT Errors by analyzing transaction flow in both systems, understanding the impact on the item balances and timing issues and transaction process. This function is intertwined with several audit functions between PS/HJ on a daily basis
+ Support the On-Line Database by understanding each request for a return of merchandise or report of a shipment discrepancy
+ Analyze requests, determine resolution requirements and processing accordingly
+ Investigate, analyze and resolve various requests involving transaction discrepancies as reported and/or requested by DC Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, etc
+ Analyze Proof of Delivery and determine whether a freight claim can be filed against the Carrier based on its legal requirements. File freight claims through 3rd party software packages where applicable
+ Warehouse Supply Management - monitor usage, process transactions to consume usage of inventory supply items and transfer to replenish DC inventory, if necessary
+ Process various transactions on a daily basis to support the basic business functions including priority sales orders and sample requests
+ Electronic filing of required company records including scanning, checking, naming, archiving documents
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
**Experience**
1-2 yrs. experience working in an Office or Distribution Center (DC), including working knowledge of DC activities including receiving, shipping, cycle counting and all activities relating to inventory.
**Skills**
+ Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills are necessary to perform at a high degree of proficiency.
