**Job Title: Stock Control Specialist**
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Stock Control Specialist responsible for managing and organizing the stockroom. This role involves receiving, repacking, and storing materials, fulfilling work orders, and ensuring the accuracy of shipments.
Responsibilities
+ Receive materials from the Receiving Department and verify items against purchase orders.
+ Repack materials and store them in the appropriate locations after inspection, labeling as needed.

THE VITAL ROLE YOU HAVE:

As a Stock Control Specialist - Corrections Replenishment, your days are dedicated to ensuring inventory accuracy and efficiency. You spend your time on the warehouse floor, using computer systems to coordinate transfers and replenish stock. You will operate power equipment, such as a forklift or reach truck, to transport materials to their correct locations. Part of your role is to investigate inventory discrepancies, analyze trends, and identify causes of shrinkage to implement corrective actions. You'll perform research and reconciliation on transactional activity to prevent order denials and alert management to any inventory record anomalies. As you work, you carefully sort and place materials on racks or shelves according to a predetermined sequence, mark materials with identifying information, and make sure stock locations are accurate. You'll also complete dropdowns to keep products at an ideal height for picking and, when needed, assist in training new team members, all while adhering to safety and security procedures.

This is a second shift position, working Monday through Friday.

The Space Components Business Unit is seeking an **Inventory Material Control Support 1** to join our team. This position is in Gilbert, AZ and will be on **1st shift 9/80 B schedule 7am-4:30**
Compiles records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued.
* Requisitions needed supplies; verifies material received to determine irregularities in order; inspects articles and rejects defective ones.
* Prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts.
* Creates material movements in the Warehouse Management System to support inventory location accuracy and shipping efficiencies.
* Issuing inventory and consumable items, posting of issues/returns to inventory management software.
*Cycle count components and perform daily kit audits
*Responsible for keeping a neat, Clean, and organized workspace
*Responsible for reading all documents and historical data to make the process more efficient
*Responsible for handling materials and detailed data entry of items into systems
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ High School diploma OR GED and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
+ Verify items and quantities on vendor pack list against physical items and quantities received
+ Working knowledge of MS Office preferred
+ Must be detailed oriented and have good communication skills
+ Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with change
+ Ability to solve problems

Salary Range: $32,000.00 - $45,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. **Summary of Job Duties**
+ Check stock room daily to ensure materials are in the proper bin, quantities are accurate, and product description matches.
+ Create detailed reports on Part Usage, Parts received, and Open purchase orders to present each morning
+ Regularly compare pricing to identify potential cost savings.
+ Keeping inventory of various items within the warehouse department ensuring no shortages occur.
+ Declutter bins with items that are no longer in use.
+ Create QR codes and assign new stocking locations
+ Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the stockroom and all stocking locations.
+ Work with maintenance to redefine the description of existing parts to facilitate their research and to give consistency to their descriptions
+ Assisting shipping and receiving Specialist with labeling and placing parts in the correct location. Inspecting parts for correctness, damage, and quantity once delivered.
+ Manage the vending machine inventorying items sold daily
+ Manage vending machine inventory and employees who have access to it.
+ Prepare shipments for vendors and returns. Maintain accurate records of shipping/receiving activities
+ Generating quotes and purchase orders
+ Comply with departmental & job safety practices.
+ Carry out tasks as assigned by Management.

**You are:**
This position offers the opportunity to work with real-world inventory data, explore advanced analytical techniques, and collaborate with multiple teams to enhance supply chain efficiency. We are looking for a detail-oriented, forward-thinking individual who can bring fresh ideas and technical expertise to help streamline our processes and create long-term value for the business through data-driven inventory management solutions.
Ensures accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process verification, and system review. Develops and executes replenishment strategies; conducts physical inventories and leads cycle counts. Analyzes and corrects cycle count discrepancies. Audits incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy. Compiles and documents all transactions for data entry using advanced analytics and automation tools.

**This position may offer remote work opportunities if candidate is not in proximity to one of our 30+ Operating Centers.**
Shift: 1st shift 8a-5p Monday- Friday
**You will:**
+ Analyze inventory data to identify optimization opportunities
+ Design automated workflows for supply order management and cycle count processes
+ Develop forecasting models integrating historical data, seasonality, and market trends
+ Audit physical inventories and lead cycle counts using data-driven methodologies
+ Systematically analyze and correct cycle count discrepancies through statistical analysis
+ Execute replenishment strategies based on predictive analytics
**Your background:**
+ Advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, Power Query)
+ Strong data analytics and statistical analysis capabilities
+ Experience with workflow automation and supply chain forecasting models
+ Ability to audit inventory management workflows and procedures
+ Understanding of inventory control, cycle counting, and replenishment strategies
+ Experience with transaction documentation and data management systems
+ Proficiency in demand planning and inventory optimization
+ While some college in a related field is a plus, equivalent professional experience is also highly valued
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Knowledge of Python programming for data analysis and automation Programming experience (SQL, R) a plus
+ Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
+ Familiarity with ERP systems or inventory management software

Unity(TM) Lab Services is a business segment that supports the Customer Channels Group, which provides critical outsourced on-site services at customer locations focused on improving supply chain and research operations efficiency and effectiveness.
The position is focused primarily on scientific support services within Unity Lab Services core offerings of: Stockroom and point-of-use inventory management, sourcing and order management, dock management and laboratory support services.
**What will you do?**
+ Make on-site program replenishments and disbursements. Performs stockroom duties to include: receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, and other functions according to customer requirements.
+ Follows well defined Best Practices, SOP's & work instructions. Take direction from Manager (and Team Lead where appropriate) regarding daily duties.
+ Promotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and improvements without the presence of site trainer and management team.
+ Listens to customer concerns, diffuses dissatisfaction, and quickly identifies course of action with a goal of first call resolution within established turnaround times
+ Proactively communicates with supervisor any customer concerns and/or potential problems.
+ Represents Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations, professionally and positively.
+ Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements (Thermo Fisher and Customer)
+ Embraces Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies
+ May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
**How will you get here?**
+ Background for minimum of 3-5 Years in warehousing and logistics preferred
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.
**Experience:**
+ Experience in logistics operations and warehousing preferred
+ Preferred 2 Year experience in attention to detail, problem solving and working in a team environment, preferably within a laboratory setting or services
+ Some first leadership experience preferred
+ Validated customer service skills with shown verbal and written skills
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
+ Possesses a strong desire to serve the customer, and the interpersonal skills to collaborate with various levels of personnel at the customer site.
+ Demonstrates computer proficiency and possess basic skills in Microsoft Office suite of software. Uses organizational skills to multi-task and meet due dates as needed.
+ Depending on area of building, personal protective equipment may be worn to include lab coats, coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets, safety gloves, and safety glasses, steel toe shoes, bump hats and/or safety glasses.
+ Possess the interpersonal skills to multi-task and meet timelines.
+ Deliver excellent customer service to include maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
+ Requires the ability to lift, push and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 pounds, including operation and use of pushcarts, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
+ May be required to work independently at a customer location.

**Compensation and Benefits**
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $5.26- 22.89.
