We're looking for an experienced Technical Inventory Control Analyst to fill this role. You'll be responsible for providing analytical support driving benchmarking, metrics, continuous improvement, and change management initiatives across technical inventory work-streams. **Responsibilities**
+ **Data Collection and Analysis**
Provide analytical support for the shipboard teams associated to inventory accuracy, controls, and reporting.
Assist in the creation of SOPs, and process flows. Assist with reviewing/updating system entered data. Ensure the vessels record keeping and ordering process is completed accurately working in collaboration with shoreside Demand Planning and Supply Planning ensuring appropriate inventory levels are properly maintained to meet onboard demands. Assist with process flow and reporting documents. Assist in flagging critical spares for each vessel.
+ **Process Improvement**
Drive process improvements for data recording/collection methods and standardization of inventory processes. Assist in creating, maintaining, and provided continuous improvement plan for vessel Corrective Actions for data inaccuracies, inventory control gaps, and non-compliance issues.
+ **Collaboration**
Work closely with shoreside and shipboard Technical and Deck / Maritime Operations, collaborating with the Demand Planning, Inventory Control, and Procurement shoreside teams in both day-to-day reporting as well as longer term projects. Provide analytical support for key strategic and corporate initiatives (MAST, Demand Planning, Supply Planning). Provide analytical support for development of business cases for new technologies, systems and programs to drive maintenance and inventory improvement initiatives.
+ **Benchmarking and Metrics**
Provide analytical support driving benchmarking, metrics, continuous improvement, reporting and change management initiatives. Assist in the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards & reports/ policies / SOPs. Gather and share metrics, KPIs, corrective action data, and lessons learned through routine engagement and follow-ups with vessels and shoreside SMEs. Routinely review defined parameters, acceptance ranges, and thresholds to ensure metric s and KPIs remain relevant to stakeholders. Perform quality assurance of inventory reports made by crew identifying gaps to ensure accuracy and consistency.
+ **Problem Solving**
Anticipate supply chain disruptions, recognize anomalies in consumption or stock levels, and address issues before they escalate into operational delays or audit findings.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree required, preferred field of Data Analytics / Data Engineering. Preferred postgraduate degree in Data Engineering / Data Analytics.
+ 3+ Years experience in inventory controls and data analysis
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills
+ Expert level knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Tableau/Power BI
+ Excellent verbal and written communication in English
+ Working understanding of Data Warehouse, data virtualization, and data visualization
+ Working knowledge of AMOS or similar WMS/ERP
+ Understanding of Inventory Controls and difference between Inventory Control and Inventory Management

The NEW UW Medicine Outpatient Surgery Center at Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a SURGICAL SERVICES INVENTORY CONTROL TECHNICIAN (HCST 2). The start date for this position is 11/1/2025.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The UW Medicine Outpatient Surgery Center at Harborview is a five operating room surgical unit with supporting pre-operative, post-operative, and sterile processing departments. The anticipated opening date to patients is January 2026.
WORK SCHEDULE
DAY SHIFT

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Support the UW Medicine Outpatient Surgery Center Operating Rooms by the provisioning of surgical supplies and/or implantable devices for the Operating Room.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Orders, receives, and distributes OR supplies including stock, non-stock, and consignment products.
Identifies and implements process improvements that increase efficiencies and cost savings.
Ensures that Workday on hand stock quantities are aligned with physical locations by managing the usage log and doing regular cycle counts.
Cycle counts inventory on a consistent basis, checking for expired product and packaging integrity. Ensures that expired or damaged product is labeled, quarantined, and removed immediately.
Reviews OR schedule for required items, ensures items are ordered, received, available and prepared for cases. Checks all supplies for expiration dates before hand-off to OR.
Troubleshoots problems with the availability of all surgical supplies and implants.
As part of the sterilization process assembles, wraps, or containerizes instrument sets.
Tracks inventory regularly, including the return and re-shelving of unused products, product recalls, and returning damaged or expired goods.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduation or equivalent
AND
One to two years of experience processing complex trays of surgical instruments and equipment. (Inventory control experience may be considered as applicable experience)

ABOUT THE OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER
The new Outpatient Surgery Center opening on the Harborview Campus is located on the 4th floor of Ninth and Jefferson Building (NJB) and will open January 2026 to patients. The Surgery Center will feature 5 operating rooms, 12 pre/post bays, and sterile processing. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday with no holidays, weekends, or night hours. The Center will offer same-day surgery procedures utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to our community of patients that meet the necessary criteria. This reflects the Center's innovative, patient-centered culture, supporting ongoing operational efficiencies and quality improvements. The goal is to provide a seamless, low-stress surgical experience for each patient, surgeon, and staff member. The unit will provide a soothing environment with natural lighting and patient privacy.

Basic Qualifications

The Supply Chain Resiliency team is responsible for identifying risks to avoid disruptions of product delivery by building a framework that anticipates, identifies, and mitigates high priority risks with action plans. As a resiliency PM, you are a builder at heart on mechanisms, systems and automation. You use data to drive decisions, tools to extract intelligence, to determine areas of improvement or to build and innovate a new capability. You are a strong PM with deep experience in the new product development process, and are a seasoned hardware (HW) supply chain expert. Key job responsibilities
- Deliver outcomes by working closely with the engineering and supply chain teams to drive change, leverage data, build tools, and improve our resiliency mechanisms.
- Develop working scalable mechanisms to identify, prioritize, and support teams to mitigate product and supply chain risks.
- Own risk mitigation program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers, escalating as appropriate.
- Support process improvements, best practice sharing, and standardization across all AWS to deliver every time for our customers.
- Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects and using this data to drive/influence business decisions
- Curate data sources that enable at-scale identification & prioritization supply chain risks
Partner with procurement & supply teams to develop action plans for supplier-level risks
- Build self-service reporting tools and dashboards
- Ensure risk identification, actions, and closures at product reviews.
- A trusted partner with cross-functional teams in IT, vendor services, legal, supplier governance, GCM, PLM, and engineering teams.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain Operations, or equivalent 5+ years of related experience
