A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INVESTMENT ASSOCIATE
As an Investment Associate you will provide support and develop strategies for the Investments and Family Office to include:
- Account management/account review
- Creating investment proposals
- Provide restructuring recommendations
- Prepare client and prospect materials
- Select and monitor approved investment strategies
- Assist the trading desk as needed
- Coordinate and complete various investment projects
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN INVESTMENT ASSOCIATE
- 4-year bachelor's degree in finance/investment management or related field
- Enrollment in the CFA program preferred
- High skill level with Microsoft Office required
- Familiarity with investment tools/platforms (Bloomberg, Morningstar, BlackDiamond, etc) is a plus

Responsibilities:
- Acquisitions & Dispositions: Assist in sourcing, analyzing, and executing investment opportunities, including preparing investment memos, market research, and due diligence.

- Asset Management: Support the ongoing performance tracking of assets, including operating metrics, leasing activity, and capital improvement planning.

Desired Competency, Experience, and Skills:
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in commercial real estate investment, asset management, private equity, or related field.
- Financial Acumen: Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and real estate underwriting.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to internal and external stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to take initiative in a lean and dynamic team environment.
- Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the Orange County commercial real estate market and a growing network of industry contacts.

+ The role of the Investment Associate is to provide a wide variety of service and investment advice to an Ultra High Net Worth client base within the United States. The position focuses on servicing clients of Citi Private Bank by understanding their investment objectives and working in partnership with senior team members to deliver investment solutions.
