Pathway seeks an investment reporting analyst to add to its growing Monitoring and Reporting team. Key Responsibilities

About the Role

Client Investment Services & Technology group (CIS) within InvesTech Operations has an open position for an Analyst based out of the Boston or Needham Massachusetts office supporting the Private Investments Reporting Team. The Analyst is expected to primarily focus on Private Equity (PE) products with Private Credit (PC) coverage and support a possibility.

Producing high quality, accurate, and timely reporting is one of the key aspects of providing superior service to our clients, prospects, and consultants. To that end, the Private Investments Reporting Team within CIS covers all PE and PC products and is responsible for creating, maintaining, and producing marketing and client materials as well as customized reporting and commentary. The Private Investments Reporting Team is expected to develop expertise in the products they cover and are expected to understand the outlook, process, positioning, strategy, and the current market environment. The team will be closely aligned with Focus Initiatives Investor Relations (FI-IR) and serve as internal subject matter expert to CIS and the Client Group broadly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Partner with FI-IR and our Client Group to understand the fundamentals of our products and the general content needs of our clients, prospects, and consultants.
  2. Serve as an internal subject matter expert to the other roles within CIS, Client Group, and the broader Firm.
  3. Own the design/creation of initial marketing and client content for new products that will serve as the backbone of reporting which will entail independent and direct collaboration with FI-IR, Investment Teams, and Marketing.
  4. Develop expertise in an assigned coverage to effectively develop and deliver product-level content for clients; this includes but may not be limited to, quarterly reporting, writing attribution and performance commentary, tailoring portfolio positioning and outlook text, understanding product-specific data nuances, answering ad-hoc questions related to the product, etc.
  5. Develop expertise in an assigned coverage to effectively develop, deliver, and maintain product-level marketing content; this includes but may not be limited to generic marketing presentations, institutional fact sheets, and product summaries.
  6. Take the lead on the production of customized client content and requests by leveraging product and infrastructure expertise.
  7. Peer review client content completed by the team as needed to ensure accuracy, data reasonability, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 3+ years of professional experience in either investment management or operational support roles.
  2. Candidates should demonstrate a high level of capital markets/investment/product interest and knowledge, particularly in the private, alternative, and/or fixed income asset classes.
  3. Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and willingness to stretch beyond standard procedures and deliverables.
  4. Ability and comfort working independently with Investment Teams and senior management.
  5. Extremely proactive and assumes ownership of tasks through completion.
  6. Demonstrated desire to better themselves and continually learn/develop.
  7. Excellent quantitative and communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
  8. The individual must be an independent self-starter, a team player, and able to work on multiple assignments and complete high-quality work against strict and competing deadlines that are dictated by prospects, consultants, and clients.
  9. The position requires extensive use of internal and external systems and databases, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

We are excited to bring on a **Regulatory GAAP and Statutory Investment Reporting Analyst** to support the Investment Accounting and Reporting Team. The Investment Accounting and Reporting team is a highly visible and dynamic team, where you will gain experience in a wide array of areas including financial reporting, investment accounting, financial analysis, amongst other valuable skills. _Background Details_
As a Regulatory GAAP and Statutory Investment Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate investment reporting for the General Account Invested Assets on a Statutory, GAAP (specifically SEC reporting), Management and Tax basis and assisting with performing and documenting SOX investment controls. You will be responsible for performing investments research, analysis and ad hoc internal reporting of Lincoln's investment positions to support strategic investment operations and initiatives. Additionally, this role will also lead team projects related to investment strategic initiatives, team process improvements/efficiencies, and investment reporting system enhancements and developments. You will build relationships and work closely with various business areas and key stakeholders to achieves operational, system and project objectives. **What you'll be doing**
+ You will provide timely and proper investment reporting of General Account Invested Assets under applicable Statutory, GAAP, Management and Tax basis. You will specifically be responsible for the investment disclosures for LFG's SEC reporting (10K and 10Q Investment related footnotes and disclosures) and Statutory reporting (including blue book and green book schedules, footnotes, general interrogatories, supplemental interrogatories etc.).
+ You will serve as a project manager for investment accounting and reporting related team projects.
+ You will provide ad hoc accounting research and information on fixed income and other investments for existing and developing investment strategies to various internal business areas.
+ You will support an effective function for your assigned area by identifying risks, researching technical investment accounting issues, and gathering all necessary information. You will communicate identified risks and financial implications to management. You will assist with performing and documenting certain SOX investment controls.
+ You will resolve discrepancies and take actions on matters and inquiries on the General Account Invested Assets from portfolio management and multiple asset managers.
+ You will collaborate effectively with team members and applicable key stakeholders across the enterprise to facilitate the accurate and timely completion of the investment accounting process.
+ You will remain current in professional and industry trends and make a positive contribution by making suggestions for improvement, and learning new skills, processes and procedures.
+ You will maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.

_Must have experience (Required):_
+ 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
+ 5+ Years of experience in investment accounting and reporting or financial reporting that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
+ Technical knowledge in investment accounting and reporting, including prior experience working in investment accounting systems.
+ Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, identifying the appropriate resources and tools to drive solutions.
+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
+ Ability to lead and manage team projects through successful completion.
