**About** **Global Alternative Investment Solutions**
Global Alternative Investment Solutions is responsible for the selection and monitoring of alternative asset managers for the Global Private Bank, and advising clients on allocations to alternative investments . This will include communications with asset managers, internal investment specialists, and clients considering the use of an alternative asset manager within an investment portfolio . Managers include multiple asset classes across hedge funds, private equity funds, private credit funds, and real asset funds. With over $200 billion of client capital invested across alternatives, the team brings a unique perspective to sourcing and advising on alternative investment opportunities. **Responsibilities will include:**
+ Working closely with Investment Advisors and Bankers in the U.S., as well as with clients, on new product launches and ongoing alternative investment opportunities.
+ Representing and articulating the views of the Global Alternative Investment Solutions teams at key internal and external meetings
+ Analyzing client multi-asset class investment portfolios and providing alternative investment product and implementation advice in conjunction with Advisors.
+ Articulating the manager selection process and how the alternative platform offering fits the Global Private Bank strategy within a market context
+ Actively participating in Global Alternative Investment Solutions meetings, demonstrating leadership.
+ Focusing on teamwork, with particular emphasis on fostering and mentoring junior talent within the group.
+ Traveling, sometimes accompanied by Fund managers, to regional offices in the Central and West region for meetings and events.
**Key attributes will include:**
+ Specific knowledge of, and hands-on product experience in, alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity, private credit and real estate
+ Proven experience in investment management sales; experience within a capital markets environment preferred.
+ The ability to convey knowledge and credibility in front of managers, clients and investors.
+ 6+ years of experience in investment sales, alternative investment due diligence, alternative product investor relations, alternatives product specialist functions, etc. Experience in both private investments and hedge funds preferred.

Responsibilities:

Investment Strategies and Model Management

  • Create, maintain, and monitor a suite of investment models that can be deployed across client portfolios
  • Align investment model construction with firm philosophy, client goals, and tax considerations
  • Evaluate all investment offerings available to the firm to determine which best suit the client's needs and preferences
  • Coordinate with custodians, platform providers, and third-party investment managers as needed

Client-Facing Planning and Communication

  • Conduct regular investment performance reviews and client meetings (in-person and virtual)

Advisor Partnership & Business Growth

Qualifications:

Education Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field
  • CFA, CFP, or other relevant designation is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial planning concepts, asset allocation, and investment due diligence
  • Prior experience working in or supporting an RIA or wealth management firm
  • Exposure to insurance products (life, disability, long-term care) is a plus

The Investment Management Specialist is responsible for defining the Financial Advisor(s) and/or Advisor Team(s) overall investment management philosophy through the development of portfolio analysis and expertise in a wide range of investment product areas. Ensure risk profiles, goals, objectives and asset allocations are aligned and reflected properly for each client. Deliver full range of investment products and services across the enterprise ensuring alignment to client goals and strategies while leveraging specialists and applicable financial planning tools if appropriate. Partner with internal specialists to deliver holistic investment solutions by identifying and establishing targeted investment strategies. Prepare and present client performance review reports to measure their progress to goals. This role is an FA Paid Resource.
This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Since this position requires SAFE Act registration, employees are required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
