Job Description
We are seeking a Metrology Applications Specialist to join our Applied Metrology Team. The Applied Metrology team leads technical interactions with our customers, prospects and stakeholders, including in-house demonstration studies, and the delivery and installation of SirenOpt's PlasmaSens products at customer sites. The AM team also provides consultation, training and support services to those customers.

In this role you will:

The successful candidate will be able to assume the responsibilities outlined below with minimal guidance or training. This person will report directly to local leadership at the assigned branch, but will have significant direction from the reliability sales managers and interaction with our pump repair facility. This is an exciting next step for Ferguson Industrial, and we expect significant interest from both internal and external candidates.
**Role Summary**
The Pump Application Specialist role will provide daily technical sales and engineering expertise to our inside and outside sales team, as well as our valuable customers. This includes reviewing customer applications and engineering specifications, creating technical quotations and proposals, providing training, and supporting the documentation needs of our validated customers.
**Responsibilities**
+ Specification and application review for all sales/proposals/bids/RFQs
+ Utilize manufacturers tools (electronic programs and paper) to size and select required pump for individual applications.
+ Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all pumps - Centrifugal and Positive Displacement
+ Provide end users and our technical outside sales team pre-sale guidance, post-sale trouble shooting, and pump selection for each unique application.
+ Work with branch operations to create appropriate stock levels to support our sales
+ Generate project submittals to include quotation and all supporting documentation
+ Generate proposed pump modification to support unique constraints
+ Interact and develop relationships with key vendors to support sales
+ Work with all associates and form relationships to establish trust throughout the district to support our pump lines. Be a team player
+ Technical Support: Provide technical support for products in the field, offering guidance to improve installations and troubleshoot problematic installations/operations. This may include evaluating failed equipment, reviewing and responding to specifications/drawings, communicating with the factories on detailed problems, issuing or responding to complaints on a customer's behalf, making field visits, etc.
+ Training: Assist in providing product training to customers and sales engineers. This to include both theoretical (classroom presentations) as well as hands on product reviews.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams: sales, engineering, customer service, purchasing, production, shipping and accounting for seamless customer order management.
+ Prepare submittal and other related project documentation for customer review and approval prior to releasing quotation or accepting PO.
**Qualifications**
+ 2-5 years minimum in role responsible for sizing and selecting pumps and complete packages
+ 2-5 years related product and market experience.
+ Knowledge of all pump types
+ Proficient in Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and MS Teams
+ Preferred experience with CAD or similar program for creating drawings

- Download customer payment and remittance information from the lockbox, customer portals and email daily.
- Utilize working knowledge of the customer payment breakdown-process, factoring in any issues that may delay the breakdown-process, to prioritize workload, while still ensuring that all cash is posted by daily/monthly deadlines.
- Following company policy, breakdown customer remittances and research each remittance line item to determine which invoice on the customer account to apply cash.

**Scientific Application Specialist**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Accountable for the controlled production support and lifecycle management for GPS Laboratory applications.
+ Accountable for delivery of committed business outcomes of digital capabilities implemented within the respective area
+ Work with a dynamic team to oversee the design and implementation of custom /cots applications
+ Collaborate directly with the business clients, IT Business Partners and other IT functions on delivery of digital capabilities.
+ Monitor IT service provider resource consumption, review demand and change requests for support work related to COTS/custom applications.
**Qualifications & Experience:**
+ BS in information technology, science, engineering or with equivalent experience in a scientific or engineering discipline.
+ 5+ years' experience in IT with demonstrated success in delivering and supporting SaaS, COTS, custom-built solutions and managing/partnering with software vendors and service providers.
+ Must have knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and of computer systems validation (CSV)
+ Experience working in large and/or complex IT programs, preferably within the pharmaceutical development and quality control domains.
+ Must have experience in pharmaceutical industry and an understanding of the drug development and scientific chemistry and biology laboratory quality control process.
+ Knowledgeable in enterprise level laboratory systems, and quality management concepts that are used in Bio Pharma industry laboratory settings.
+ Demonstrated ability to use structured problem solving and available tools to quickly evaluate problems, identify root causes, create action plans, assess impact and develop resolution options
+ Ability to apply technical solutions to business processes.
+ Deep analytical skills and logical thinking to identify and resolve technical issues.
+ Knowledge of cGxP and 21CFR Part11 standards.
+ Experience using IT Service Management tool such as ServiceNow.
+ Extensive experience supporting Waters Nugenesis SDMS application.
+ Knowledge of regulated lab instrument data archival
+ Knowledge of NAS storage devices and data Migration.
+ Knowledge of cloud S3 data storage.
+ Extensive Knowledge and experience with Active Directory groups and Windows security settings.
+ Experience imaging, deploying and supporting regulated lab benchtop PCs with Laboratory instrument drivers and applications.
+ Experience with Scripting in Robocopy, PowerShell etc.
+ Knowledge of Data Integrity concerns for GxP applications in a regulated environment.
+ Ability to develop, edit and execute test scripts using automated testing tool such as ALM
+ Knowledge of computer and network security, including firewall administration, encryption technologies and network protocols.
+ Experience administering laboratory applications such as Empower, Softmax, Unicorn.
**Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:**
+ Knowledge of GxP laboratory instrumentation and metrology practices
+ Extensive knowledgeable and support experience in enterprise level laboratory data backup and archive systems (ex. Nugenesis, Goodsync, Acronis)

**Compensation Overview:**
New Brunswick - NJ - US: $78,200 - $94,760
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
