Job Summary
Provides technical assistance and works closely with other Software Engineering staff to develop and apply practical skills. Learns tools to assist software engineering with campus IT applications and ETL processes. Assists technical staff in fulfilling requests or resolving incidents related to custom applications and ETL processes. Please note this position is an apprenticeship within Kennesaw State University Information Technology Services department; it does not guarantee permanent employment with the University
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
1. Collaborates with software engineering and UITS staff to resolve technical incidents or fulfill service requests
2. Assists with developing applications and integrations according to specifications using appropriate programming languages, tools, development methodologies, and adhering to best practices, while communicating progress, and delivering within scheduled timelines
3. Uses appropriate algorithms, logic, and data structures to solve problems and promote code reusability
4. Writes well organized, documented, and readable code
5. Uses appropriate revision control practices

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in computer science or a related field.

Definition
An apprentice is a person at least 17 years of age, who has met the requirements for selection under the selection procedures, who is engaged in learning a designated trade and who has entered into a written apprentice agreement under the provisions of these standards.
Duties:
Each apprentice shall satisfactorily perform all work and learning assignments both on the job and in related instruction related to Computer Support Specialists/Cybersecurity.
This is an apprenticeship program for computer support specialists/cyber security occupations at Coastline. To achieve competency, students are required to write programs, develop network security plans, install tools in the field of network security, build and maintain secure networks, defend computer networks from outside attacks, and demonstrate the ability to analyze data on a compromised computer. Apprenticeship participants need to complete 2000 hours in paid training to meet the requirements and receive a certificate of completion.
Education and Experience:
- Level I - Completed up to 666 hours in apprenticeship program.
- Level II - Completed 667-1332 hours in apprenticeship program.
- Level III - Completed 1333-2000 hours in apprenticeship program.
Conditions of Employment
This is an apprenticeship position. Apprentices shall be members of the California Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Project (CCAP) program. The District reserves the right to extend, modify, or eliminate this position based upon available funds. The effective dates of employment will be arranged with the supervisor.

Accounting Analysts are considered to be trusted business advisors, working with other accounting and finance teams
supporting IBM's business units and geographies on accounting related matters, as well as in a myriad of specialized corporate
functions that support IBM's external financial reporting processes. IBM's Accounting Policy and Financial Reporting provides
guidance and accounting support on applying United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the recording
and reporting of business transactions, and the preparation of IBM's main Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) financial
statements filings.
**Your role and responsibilities**
As an Accounting Apprentice, you will work with a team of experienced professional accountants as part of IBM's Accounting
Policy and Financial Reporting organization. Your primary role will be to support the team responsible to prepare IBM's main
external financial reporting filings including IBM's quarterly interim reports (Form 10-Q) and Annual Report (Form 10-K), take
ownership of multiple control processes, use financial applications to retrieve and perform integrity checks of the financial data
contained in the mentioned filings, with a focus on automation of manual processes. In addition, you will be involved and be able
to learn from the accounting policy consultation process, supporting the accounting guidance research and factsheet drafting
processes.

What is an Apprenticeship?
IBM Apprenticeship Program is an official registered apprenticeship recognized by the Department of Labor (DOL). Every graduate of a Registered
Apprenticeship program receives a nationally-recognized credential from the DOL.
During the apprenticeship duration, you will be required to complete specific learning hours and on the job training that has been outlined to ensure you are
developing the skills and competencies essential to the role. You will learn and grow at your own pace, but we expect most apprentices will complete their learning
within 12 months. Once you graduate and receive your certificate from our apprentice program, you will be eligible to apply to available full-time roles at IBM.
