Job Description
As a Network Engineering Service Engineer, you will:
Design solutions for network (transport) at OT/IT new sites and determine if cell, radio, private circuit, or even satellite can facilitate transport at new remote locations.
Schedule maintenance windows for deployments, following all change management processes.
Manage the selection, ordering, delivery, coordinate activation of transport for IT/OT environments, and then hand over to core networking team.
Inventory, catalog bandwidth, utilizations, SLA's and create/maintain transport documentation of all transport (Circuits, Microwave, DIA, P2P circuits).
Researching existing IT/OT circuits for circuit diversity.
(Last Mile providers, intermediate circuits, and POPs)
Provide recommendations on system enhancements that will improve reliability, redundancy, and performance of transport.
Work with Purchasing for circuit contract co-terms and renewals
Input all circuit information into SolarWinds for monitoring.
Requirement
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
Ability to think through problems, visualize solutions and work through roadblocks.
Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
Able to start a project, own it and see it through completion.
Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Dependable and flexible when necessary.
Possess excellent organizational planning, time management, and communication skills
Must be able to occasionally travel through Oregon and SW Washing, valid driver's license required

Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsibilities include design and review of security controls, configuration, and monitoring of internal/external access controls and security safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems assets. This role will be focused on protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems, applications and network devices hardened against attacks as well as monitoring and responding to significant security events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Depending on area of assignment may monitor, audit and/or maintain the security tools and systems (IDS, IPS, Firewall, VPN, NAC, WAF, and Web Proxies) for the corporate and SCADA/ICS computing environments.
• Assists Cybersecurity to remediate vulnerabilities and security incidents.
• Assists the Sr. Network Security Engineer(s) to conduct analysis of security requirements and controls to identify gaps and provides recommendations of industry best practices, trends, and technology products.
• Assists the Sr. Network Security Engineer(s) in the identification, evaluation, deployment, and optimization of security technologies.
• Collaborates with System Administrators, Information Security, Applications, SCADA/I&C and other information system staff to ensure adequate security solutions are in place for all IT systems and platforms to sufficiently mitigate identified risks and meet business objectives.
• Supports information security leadership team in strategic planning and development.
• Assists the Sr. Network Security Engineer(s) and Enterprise Architects to provide security design, consultancy, and assessment services; and introduces improvements in technical security standards and security implementation patterns and designs.
• Reviews and contributes to the improvement and standardization of security systems across all of IT.
• Implements, manages, and enforces electronic information security directives in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Ensures that the access control, disaster recovery, business continuity, and risk management needs of the organization are properly addressed as related to electronic protected health information (PHI).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
DECISION MAKING

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study required from an accredited college or university plus four years of relevant IT work experience, to include three years in network security field.
• OR Associate's degree In Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study from an accredited college or university or technical institute plus eight years of relevant IT work experience, to include five years in network security field
• At least one 1 of the following professional information/network security certifications required:
o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Security
o Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

• Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

JOB DIMENSIONS
