List of tasks to be performed:
  • Provide day-to-day incident and deployment support of multiple server operating systems, including Unix, Linux, and Windows, which includes on-site and remote administration, user support, performance monitoring and tuning, and capacity planning
  • Provide day-to-day incident and deployment support of middle tier applications, including web and application servers, containers and container managers, messaging technologies, cloud platform and services, automation tools, scripting languages and monitoring tools
  • Manage incident response via the USPS ServiceNow application in accordance with he published USPS Change Management Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Perform a technical leadership role in incident response, maintenance, documentation, and support of a large, complex, distributed server environment complex, distributed server environment

Responsibilities

As a Pipeline Integrity Engineering Technical Specialist, you will be involved in both Pipeline Integrity and Corrosion responsibilities.

• In this position you will primarily support integrity projects, Integrity Management Plans, Risk Ranking Plans, Integrity Standards and Procedures, and Corrosion Control Policies / Procedures.
• Evaluate, analyze, and recommend techniques and new technologies to provide effective pipeline integrity programs that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and BHE GT&S's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Database administration as needed (specifically Task Op, Visions, Oracle Web Center Content, Sharepoint, CPDM)

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above and more specifically, The Pipeline Integrity Technical Specialist will:

• Support the in-line inspection program on runs, excavation projects, and data analysis.
• Support various integrity and compliance projects (e.g. pressure tests, guided wave analysis, direct assessments, navigable waterway dive inspections, etc.).
• Participate in and complete compressor station, facility, and site reviews to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Review industry best practices and recommend applications for GT&S's system.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and design support for regulated departments.
