CVS Health's Enterprise Procurement department is in search of a Sourcing Manager who will be support non-IT indirect spend within the Healthcare Services team which includes categories such as Clinical Services, Health & Wellness, Payment Integrity and Risk Adjustment. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the execution of complex, high-impact RFx events for services within the assigned CVS Health indirect spend category. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in direct vendor management and a strong knowledge of strategic sourcing practices.
In addition to managing large sourcing events, this role will also be responsible for supporting the Category Lead and Lead Director with category strategy and pipeline development. This role reports directly to the Lead Director and will work in a team environment that provides support and guidance to ensure that Enterprise Procurement is effectively serving its internal stakeholders.
The Strategic Sourcing team manages over $9B in annual indirect spend across a range of IT and non-IT categories that support key business units across the enterprise (Retail, PBM, Insurance, Specialty/Clinical, etc.). As a Sourcing Manager, you should have an enterprise mindset, possess an entrepreneurial self-starting mentality, and be a strong communicator who is able to establish lasting relationships with business leaders as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and lead a variety of complex, high-value, high visibility sourcing events in support of category
- Support development of category plans, pipeline, and other category materials
- Manage expiring contract process to support pipeline development for category
- Work with Sourcing Category Managers to develop the strategy and approach for each RFx event
- Organize and lead effective meetings with internal stakeholder and external suppliers
- As appropriate, delegate RFx events and tasks to Sourcing Analysts and provide guidance to ensure successful execution
- Conduct market research that supports negotiation strategies and award decisions for each sourcing event
- Compile scope of work and requirements, analyze and evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate final commercial terms
- Develop and confidently present analysis - both quantitative and qualitative - to Procurement and Business leadership to obtain approval to award business
- Effectively communicate and demonstrate Strategic Sourcing's value proposition to internal business partners/stakeholders
**Required Qualifications**
+ 3-5 years of professional experience related to Sourcing & Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Analytics, or Project Management
+ 3-5 years specific to vendor management
+ 5+ years overall experience
+ Ability to travel up to 15% for supplier presentations, site visits, and key department meetings at RI Headquarters (no more than quarterly)

- Possess a strong business acumen and high level of problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to confidently and expertly interact with internal and external stakeholders
