* Check in and maintain physical journal collection.

The Technical Services Attendant prepares, operates and maintains DECC owned audiovisual, sound, electrical, and lighting equipment for events at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC). Examples include events such as concerts, conventions, sporting events, and meetings.
Requirements & Competencies

Schedule
This position is part-time with a schedule based on DECC event needs. This position will have day, afternoon, and/or evening shifts scheduled on various days of the week and may include some holidays. Approximately 10-28 hours per week. The DECC cannot always schedule a definite ending time due to the nature of the events, but an estimated time will be provided.
Uniform
The Technical Services Attendant must provide their own black or khaki slacks (jeans are not allowed). The DECC will provide polos or t-shirts with the DECC logo.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
The Technical Services Attendant will be in varying workspaces based on the needs of each event. They will be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally very loud. The responsibilities and pace will vary and the Technical Services Attendant will need to adapt quickly.
Physical Demands
The Technical Services Attendant is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle equipment, feel, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, or crawl and should be comfortable with heights. The Technical Services Attendant is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.

- Continually assists with all on stage activities before, during and after performances.
- Hang and focus lights, assemble staging, and sound systems as per show needs.
- Basic operation of audio, performance lighting, and Daktronics video systems.
- Assists with ensuring all in-house lighting and sound equipment is in proper working order and assists in the routine inspections of all lighting/sound systems and computer equipment.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3-5 years technical experience in the audio-visual industry.
Skills and Abilities
- General knowledge of Fly rail systems and lighting consoles.
- Basic concepts of rigging a plus.
- Knowledge of audio, powered and passive speakers, mixing consoles, wireless and wired microphones, audio recorders, signal flow.
- Knowledge of video, projectors, video switching systems, and signal flow.
- Lighting: LED intelligent lighting, intelligent lighting boards, basic electrical knowledge
- Possess knowledge and experience in operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility.
- Must possess a thorough understanding of the facility's electrical, audio/visual, TV's, computer network, telephone, and scoreboard systems.
- Ability to operate Scissor Lift, Single Man Lift, and Forklift, will train if necessary. Working at heights is mandatory.
- Ability to make decisions in a stressful environment and accommodate a flexible work schedule.

Purpose of Position:
Highly skilled individual responsible for providing technical support services to customers and internal company operations by providing technical expertise with all aspects related to product quality, quality assurance, post-harvest handling, ripening, distributing, warehousing, and merchandising of Del Monte products. Goals are achieved by developing expertise in these areas and providing technical leadership and service to ensure customer satisfaction with Del Monte Fresh Produce and our products.
Accountabilities
- Train / advise customer base and company personnel regarding proper receiving, ripening, warehousing, shipping, retailing, and merchandising practices for all DMFP products.
- Assist and provide functionally support for all aspects of local QA operations when not engaged directly in other functional activities.
- Work with sales units and customer base to troubleshoot product quality issues and customer claims / complaints.
- Assist sales units and quality assurance with addressing and responding to customer inquiries and requirements for social, food safety, organic, (etc.) certifications.
- Coordinate and chair advisory meetings with customers and company personnel focusing on improving profitability, quality, and operational efficiency. Follow each meeting with a written report detailing recommendations.
- Coordinate daily functions and schedule to meet the needs of Del Monte Fresh Produce customers and internal divisions.
- Develop presentations and technical programs to address areas of customer need and improve customer and Del Monte facility product handling.
- Conduct training and informational seminars for internal company divisions, QA, QC, and Del Monte Fresh Produce customers.
- Conduct field level evaluations of QA, R&D, production, and packaging trials. Provide detailed written reports and analysis of each trial.
- Position can be to 75% travel.
Minimum Skills Required:
- Four-year college degree
- Strong math skills.
- Understanding of basic science concepts in chemistry, biology, and physics.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
