JOB SUMMARY:

Leads and executes the most difficult and unique purchasing projects. This classification reviews a wide range of purchase requisitions including capital and expense items or services; investigates and develops sources of supplies, preparing bid specifications; issues bid requests and reviews quotations. Also requires interpretation of purchasing procedures to departments and vendors, as a specialist in assigned material categories, which require a high degree of technical knowledge based on sourcing category. Works with key stakeholders and legal to optimize best value for Universal Destinations and Experiences. The Sourcing Manager is responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of materials to meet customer order requirements and maintain stock inventory levels within approved guidelines. The Sourcing Manager sources, evaluates, and purchases services, supplies, and equipment based on price, service, quality, and warranty. The Sourcing Manager is responsible for collaborating with business partners (internal and external) to assist with writing specifications and developing appropriate timelines to ensure the supply of material and services is taken into consideration to maximize our guest experience. The Sourcing Manager prepares bid forms, handles the RFX process, analyzes bid results, and makes recommendations and awards contracts. The Sourcing Manager authorizes and processes purchase orders in accordance with Universal Orlando's policies and procedures while taking into account total cost of ownership (TCO) for UDX. Potential to lead or supervise Sourcing Specialists, Associate Sourcing Specialists, and support staff in the future.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Researches possible sources/suppliers for requested items, provides alternatives or substitutions when applicable, and assists internal requesters with select requirements. Gathers/reviews requests in various formats including technical drawings or schematics. Investigates potential bidding initiatives to address hard dollar and process savings. Establishes blanket purchase agreements with vendors setting dollar limitations and time of contract limitations.
* Facilitates the competitive bid process for all requisitions in accordance with company policies. Organize and participate in job walks, solicits price bids and proposals from qualified suppliers, conducts evaluation of all bids, and recommend suppliers for award, negotiate final prices, establish contracts, place orders, and arrange deliveries according to prescribed deadlines and timetables in conjunction with company savings goals. Works with team members from corporate offices to optimize deal terms across the enterprise.
* Interviews sales representatives and researches companies to develop new sources of supplies to update records and files, and to secure favorable terms for the Universal Orlando. Compiles metrics & KPI's for related areas.
* Partners with the Cost Control group to ensure budget compliance and to identify cost saving opportunities as they relate to a procurement perspective.
* Leads efforts related to key company initiatives
* Resolve issues of prices on purchase orders that differ from prices confirmed by suppliers.
* Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

EDUCATION:

* Bachelor's degree is required.
* Master's degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

* 5-7 years in Sourcing and Procurement of specialized/technical commodities, engineered systems and professional services. Skills in supervising or leading the work activities of others may be required. Construction experience highly desirable.
* MS Excel: Advanced level of analytical capabilities. Ability to gather, interpret data from multiple sources and identify economic trends.
* MS Powerpoint: Ability to translate information from analysis and convey information effectively in PowerPoint
* Experience with computerized purchasing system required. The position requires a vast knowledge of suppliers and manufacturers, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Theme Park or entertainment related company experience a plus. Strong communication and negotiation skills, good math and analytical skills as well as the ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for executing our Exclusive Brands global strategic sourcing strategies, as well as driving product vision to commercialization. Sourcing is accountable to successfully implement our brand portfolios aesthetic, quality, cost, margin, and on-time delivery to maintain and elevate our high product standards.

The Sourcing Manager collaborates with our Boot Barn Vendor Partner Community. This position drives key sourcing metrics, including cost negotiations throughout the entire product development process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products, and guaranteeing on-time delivery. A working knowledge of strategic global sourcing is essential, encompassing both direct-to-factory and agent relationships, all while balancing vendor and Country of Origin (COO) strategies. This role requires strong internal partnerships with critical cross-functional departments, including Buying, Planning, Design, Product Development, and Technical Design.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Vendor Allocation: Strategically allocate development and production orders to optimize capacity, capability, cost-effectiveness, quality, and on-time delivery.
* Sourcing Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks throughout the sourcing and supply chain lifecycle.
* Sourcing Time + Action (T&A) Management: Manage and execute the Time & Action calendar for orders through shipment ensuring adherence to deadlines for order placement and production milestones.
* Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with the global network of vendors. Serve as the primary point of contact for all vendor communications, fostering partnerships that drive continuous improvement in both quality and efficiency.

* Target Margins Actualization: Proactively manage and monitor all product costs throughout the development and production lifecycle to ensure the consistent actualization of target margins. Implement strategic cost-saving initiatives and identify areas for expense optimization while maintaining product integrity and quality standards.
* Vendor Forecast Management: Ensure vendors receive timely and precise visibility into demand to optimize their production, raw material procurement, and capacity allocation.

* Vendor Scorecard Management: Maintain a vendor scorecard document to track and evaluate vendor performance across key metrics such as quality, on-time delivery, compliance, and responsiveness. Use data from scorecards to drive vendor improvement initiatives and strategic decision-making.
* Execute Vendor and Mill Country of Origin Strategy: Implement and manage the company's strategic approach to vendor and mill country of origin to balance country penetration and minimize risk.
* New Vendor Onboarding: Ensure new vendors meet company standards and agree to all requirements as it relates to quality, ethical practices, and operational efficiency.
* Raw Material Rationalization: Drive initiatives to optimize raw material sourcing, identifying opportunities for consolidation, cost savings, and improved utilization without compromising product quality or design.
* Attend Weekly Cross-Functional Team (CFT) Meetings: Actively participate in weekly Cross-Functional Team meetings to provide updates on sourcing activities, address challenges, and collaborate with design, product development, and buying teams to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
