As a **Principal Support Engineer** in Oracle's Support organization, you'll be at the forefront of solving some of our most complex customer challenges. **What You Bring**
7+ years with Oracle Core products or 8+ years with Applications products.
Hands-on experience with **Exadata implementations** and large-scale database management systems.
Strong understanding of **ASM and RAC architectures** , clustering technologies, and OCI fundamentals.
Proficiency in **Unix, Linux, and/or Windows** operating systems.
Programming and troubleshooting skills in **C, C++** (additional scripting/automation experience is a plus).
Hardware debugging and Oracle diagnostic tool expertise.

We are the AI Infrastructure - Network Operations team at OCI. We support and operate the RDMA/RoCE network fabrics for OCI's largest AI and HPC customers. These fabrics are the foundation underneath OCI's AI, GPU and HPC services, and support major tier-0 vendors in the generative AI industry. If you're running an AI workload at OCI, we're running the RDMA network underneath your workload.
A Principal Network Engineer on our team supports the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle cloud computing environment (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI). Primarily focused on operation and support of RDMA/RoCE network fabrics and systems, through a combination of a deep network understanding and automation skills to operate a production environment. As OCI is a cloud-based network with a global footprint, this support will include hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers, connected over a mix of dedicated backbone infrastructure and the Internet.

**The Main Responsibilities**
The Summer 2026 Network Engineer Intern will be responsible for:
+ Specific work will be in testing xDSL, GPON and XGS-PON hardware and software solutions to provide top quality High-speed Internet services.
+ This position is designed to provide manual and automated testing and results tracking for DSLAMs and OLTs.
+ Automation Scripting with Python
**What We Look For in a Candidate**
**Required qualifications**
+ Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
+ Graduating August 2026 - May 2028
+ Preferred fields include but not limited to: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
**Proficiency and understanding of:**
+ Technical understanding of the different types of xDSL and PON services provided in a consumer telecommunications network. (Ex.PPP, DHCP, OMCI communication, Fiber Services, 802.1Q, etc.)
+ Programing and Automation skills specific to scripting with Perl and Python to create re-creatable automation utilizing knowledge of the network equipment under test.
+ Accomplished written and verbal communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills as well as practical negotiation skills.
+ Must have a high level of professionalism in all activities as well as high work ethic.
**Compensation**
Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual's level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.
**Hourly Based Pay Range:**
Min: $ 31/hour
Max: $ 46/hour
