The Direct Support Professional (DSP) pr ovides quality care to adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, supports them with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in a residential facility , implements programs and services as specified in the client's individualized service plan; documents the care and services provided.
General Details:
+ Schedule: 40 hours per week (part time available)
+ Shift: PM
+ Location: Santee (San Diego County)
+ Pay: 22-23/hr commensurate with experience
+ Assignment length: 13 weeks to start but likely to extend to 6 months or longer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Direct Support Personnel I assists individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth and development of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home, community or residential setting. The Direct Support Personnel I works directly with the resident and provides supports for activities of daily living and adaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel I should follow the guidance of the resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.
Minimum Requirements:
+ High School diploma or its equivalent
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks
Varying Schedules - 13 week assignments
? Experience Requirements:
All Reqs: It's crucial that staff come in with experience working with true IDD populations that exhibit behavioral challenges
o CCL - DSP with 6 months + of experience with adults with IDD
o ICF - up to 6 months of experience with adults with IDD or 6 month as DSP in other settings.
? Key Screening Questions : Similar to MTN Shadows.
- NEEEDED: What levels of disability clientele have you worked with from Mild - Severe. What specific behaviors did they exhibit? (Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down's syndrome, etc.)
o Are you comfortable working with children and adults, what are the age groups have you worked with in the past? Are you comfortable working in multiple homes?
o Are you 100% committed and comfortable commuting to El Cajon on a full-time basis? Many times, fall-off occurs because HCPs claim they are fine with a commute, only to quit a week in because the drive is too lengthy.
o Do you have any physical limitations? You may be required to assist with moving and transporting some of the clients.
o For Residential Facilitators - Do you have any experience managing challenging behaviors. Do you have any certifications such as "Pro-Act" or "Crisis Prevention Intervention(CPI)"

The Office of Military Commissions (OMC) is committed to making military commissions accessible to victims and their family members (VFMs), non-governmental representatives (NGORs), and the Media for the September 11, 2001, attacks, the USS Cole bombing; and any case prosecuted by a military commission.
Chenega Corporation in collaboration with OMC provides administrative support to VFMs, NGORs and Media at the following six locations: Fort Devens, MA, Fort Hamilton, NY, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ, and Fort Meade, MD, the Pentagon, and the U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. A seventh site is located at the Naval Station Norfolk for the VFMs of the attack on the USS Cole. Military commission proceedings are held only in Guantanamo Bay and the proceedings are viewed live through CCTV at the U.S. bases mentioned above.
TheEscort Support Personnel Assistant shall provide escort support and superior customer service to visitors and guests in support of the Office of Military Commission's (OMC) mission at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (NSGB, Cuba).
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Transport personnel to in-process and receive appropriate badges and briefings.
+ Before personnel departure, the escort shall collect and return all badges and any government-issued property.
+ Coordinate and collect meals for OMC guests when required.
+ Transport personnel to and from various locations as directed by the Protocol Officer or a designated government representative.
+ Fuel and maintain the tidy appearance of rental vehicles for passenger transport.
+ Arrive at the courtroom location at least one hour before the start of court proceedings.
+ Ensure attendees obey the posted rules and do not attempt to download audio, video, or audio-video feeds from the courtroom.
+ Report any infractions of the rules to the designated government representative. In the event of an unruly viewer, the contractor shall contact installation security to respond to the scene.
+ Coordinate with the designated government representative and the installation staff as required if the court would run over normal duty hours.
+ Complete annual company and customer training requirements according to established policies and procedures.
+ Record labor hours daily in the online corporate system.
+ Other duties as assigned.
