Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define, analyze, and document requirements for technology projects and product enhancements.

Rotary and Mission Systems' Training, Logistics and Simulation (TLS) business is Lockheed Martin's center of excellence for training and logistics products and services, serving the U.S. military and more than 65 international customers around the world. Based in Orlando, TLS develops programs that teach service men and women skills to accomplish their most challenging missions - flying the world's most advanced fighter aircraft, navigating ships and driving armored vehicles.
TLS is the corporation's hub for simulation, X reality, live-virtual-constructive capabilities, advanced training devices and full-service training programs. **THE WORK**
This is a position for a Systems IT Engineer on F35 Pilot Training Devices (PTD) as part of the Operational Baseline Integrated Product Team (IPT).
As a key member of our Systems Engineering team, you will:
- Perform hardware and software diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance on multiple IT components
- Manage system integrity, availability, and cyber compliance of networked systems
- Assist in the development of solutions across components of systems through design, integration, implementation and support
- Participate in phases of software and hardware development, leveraging our DevOps engineering processes and procedures while performing respective engineering activities
- Collaborate with other program personnel, participating in cross functional Agile teams

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Materials Management or other field closely related to the intent of the class.

General Qualifications
Criminal History and Background Checks:
The County may access criminal history information on candidates who have accepted a conditional offer of appointment for this class consistent with the provisions of Board of Supervisors Resolution No. 82-602, Personnel Policies and Procedures B-5, and applicable federal and state laws. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
As an employee of the County of Sacramento, there will be a variety of benefits available to you. These benefits currently include: health, dental and life insurance; flexible spending account options for dependent care and unreimbursed dental and/or medical cost; and an employee assistance program (EAP).
GENERAL BENEFITS:
Most employee benefits are similar to the following for all County employees. However, some benefits differ, depending on the employee representation unit to which the employee's job classification is assigned. TEMPORARY POSITIONS:
Most benefits do not apply to temporary positions. The explanations of benefits applies to employees in regular positions.
SALARY STEP INCREASES:
The beginning salary and the top of the salary range are usually shown on the job announcement. Upon satisfactory service, salary increases of approximately 5% are given annually until the top of the salary range has been attained.
PAY:
All employees are paid bi-weekly via direct deposit into the employee's bank account. The pay period covers fourteen (14) calendar days, starting on a Sunday and ending on the second Saturday thereafter. Salaries are generally paid on the Friday following the end of the pay period. Employees can set up their direct deposit and access their pay information via Employee Self Service in MySacCounty.
VACATION:
Generally, vacation with pay begins at 10 days annually. With increase over a period of years, the maximum annual vacation with pay is 25 days.
HOLIDAYS:
14.5 holidays per year as recognized.
SICK LEAVE:
Equivalent to 15 days annually, unlimited accumulation. Upon retirement, unused sick leave is converted to retirement service credit.
PARENTAL LEAVE:
Entitles a regular County employee, with at least one year of continuous employment, to schedule a paid parental leave of up to 160 hours upon the birth or during the process of an adoption of a minor child. Parental leave shall be approved by the employee's appointing authority, except where the granting of the parental leave request would unduly interfere with or cause severe hardship upon department operations.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT:
Dependent upon union agreements, regular County employees may be eligible to receive Tuition Reimbursement. The costs for course tuition/registration fees and required books/supplies are eligible for reimbursement. Tuition reimbursement amounts may vary depending upon union agreement.
RETIREMENT:
Social Security and Sacramento County Employees' Retirement System coverage.
HEALTH INSURANCE:
The County offers a variety of health plan design options to fit individual needs.
DENTAL INSURANCE:
The County provides a comprehensive dental benefit program for regular full-time and part-time employees and their eligible dependents. This plan pays on a set fee schedule that varies by procedure. Any amount over the fee schedule is the employee's responsibility. The yearly maximum is 2,000 per person, not including orthodontia. The orthodontic benefit is 50% of covered charges with a lifetime maximum of 1,000 per person.
LIFE INSURANCE:
The County of Sacramento provides a basic life insurance benefit of 15,000 to all eligible employees at no cost. Additional coverage may be purchased through payroll deduction.
DEFERRED COMPENSATION:
The County offers a Deferred Compensation Program which enables employees to save in a systematic way without paying income tax on either the payroll deduction or the earned interest, prior to withdrawal.

VETERAN'S PREFERENCE:
Military veterans who have served during wartime shall be given preference in initial appointment to County service. Position Summary
Responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing the systems and processes that support the operational and academic functions of the university. - Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Elicit and document detailed functional and technical requirements from stakeholders. Develop comprehensive system documentation, including user stories, process flow diagrams, and system specifications.

The Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in the efficient operations of Aspirus and helps to ensure an excellent user and patient experience. Responsibilities include the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of virtual servers, server hardware, software, and related infrastructure. Systems Administrators ensure that servers are secure, performant, efficient and that their configurations adhere to Aspirus policies and standards. They also provide Tier 3 support for incidents, daily monitoring and maintenance for server hardware, server operating systems, backups, VMWare, Citrix, Exchange, Active Directory, and other server related infrastructure
HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks.
Experience/Qualifications
- Associate degree in a computer related field or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years Windows Server administration and/or support experience
- 1+ years VMWare administration and/or support experience
- In combination with any of the following:
- 1+ years of Microsoft Exchange administration and/or support experience
- 1+ years of Citrix administration and/or support experience
- 1+ years of SAN administration and/or support experience
- 1+ years of Active Directory administration and/or support experience
- Applicable technology certifications preferred.
- ITIL certification preferred.

This position plays a key role in ensuring system reliability, performance, and security across campus technology services.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration & Maintenance
- Manage and maintain VMware virtualization infrastructure.
- Manage and maintain all SaaS services within the company's portfolio, ensuring smooth operation through proper configuration, user access management, security enforcement, performance monitoring, and regular updates.
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Servers, Linux servers, DNS, DFS, AD and other core infrastructure components.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies for staff, faculty, and students across Active Directory, LDAP, and Google Admin Console.
- Configure and maintain Group Policy (GPOs) to enforce security, compliance, and user environment settings.
- Manage image deployment and workstation provisioning using tools like Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Windows Autopilot, or other imaging solutions.
- Manage identity and access control solutions using Onelogin SSO and other authentication mechanisms.
- Implement and support patch management using Automox and related tools.
- Monitor and maintain endpoint security using Cynet and other security platforms.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices across all IT systems.
- Regularly apply patches and updates to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Perform security audits, log analysis, and monitoring to detect and respond to potential threats.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for escalated system issues and collaborate with helpdesk teams to ensure timely resolution of complex technical problems.
- Work closely with the IT Operations team to improve system reliability and efficiency.
- Assist with IT infrastructure planning and implementation of new technologies.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration, networking, and enterprise IT environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware administration and Google Admin Console.
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, DNS, DFS, Group Policy).
- Knowledge of Linux administration in a mixed environment.
- Experience with patch management and endpoint security tools (Automox, Cynet, or similar).
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery best practices.
- Industry certifications (VMware VCP, Google Workspace Administrator, Microsoft certifications).
- Experience working in higher education IT environments.
- Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
