We are actively recruiting a Systems Analyst for our client in Knoxville, TN. This is a hybrid contract opportunity that will require some onsite work in Knoxville. This is mostly a technology-facing role, requiring excellent technical and analytical skills, preferably with a background in finance or accounting. In this role, you will be responsible for working with stakeholders to define current state system or business processes, documenting data and system flows, refining integration patterns, or making recommendations to system or process improvements. Primary Qualifications:

The Systems Analyst will be responsible for supporting systems that are within the distribution center as well as those that interact with it such as integration and order management. The Analyst will monitor systems and troubleshoot to identify the location and cause of operational issues and develop solutions. This role typical reports to the Manager and is based in our Braselton Distribution center in our on-site work environment.

PRODUCTION SUPPORT AND ROOT-CAUSE ANALYSIS (75%)

  • Conduct first-level troubleshooting for operational, functional and systems issues within the DC, including DC processes, use of warehouse management systems, Host Systems/ERP, Warehouse Control Systems, Sortation Systems, and handheld devices/printers

  • Develop functional specifications and requirement documentation (standard operating procedures) using thorough business and functional perspective and expertise. Contribute input regarding any process changes that impact the DC

  • Remote Support of North American Distribution Centers

  • Responsible for production system support which includes analyzing root cause and driving to correct issues from repeat occurrences

  • Review, analyze and evaluate business system functions and along with user needs for business process improvements to communicate business position on, upgrades, system enhancement, or issue resolution

  • Analyze and determine whether issues are within the WMOS or are created by one of the many systems that interact with the WMOS to operate the DC (unit sorter, unit pick, conveyor control & automated storage and retrieval systems)

  • Use SQLs to query the database and make dashboards/reports for Operations

  • Monitor system activities and communicate issues to both Leadership & fellow team members in a timely manner with appropriate level of details

  • Provide assistance and training to warehouse management systems users and assist with SOP writing/revisions as necessary

TESTING/PROJECT WORK (25%)

  • Perform hands-on execution of test scenarios, documentation of all test conditions covering each test scenario, and proper logging of defects

  • Develop and execute test cases as part of System Testing for SDNs delivered by Manhattan or supporting on-going projects

  • Test new systems processes, enhancements and fixes for all DC utilized systems including WMOS, WCS, Lightning Pick, Mathews, Knapp, SDI, Beumer and future vendors

The Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, documenting, and supporting new and existing software solutions and systems. This role focuses on troubleshooting, training, and evaluating RMEF systems while providing clear documentation and recommending process improvements. Additional responsibilities include application and database administration, workflow optimization, and providing customer service and technical support.

This position is located at our headquarters in Missoula, MT and is not remote.

Essential Functions:

1. Systems Analysis & Improvement

  • Collaborate with appropriate leadership and department management to develop and implement organizational-wide solutions, enhancing system application through configuration and development to meet business requirements.
  • Define, document and monitor organizational processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Partner with internal IT team and other business units to implement system improvements
  • Monitor and improve data integrity by identifying and preventing bad data sources.
2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
  • Participate in IT Helpdesk support, troubleshooting technical issues and assisting users.
  • Provide troubleshooting and maintenance support while transferring knowledge to team members and identifying root causes of issues
  • Serve as a liaison between system users and technical support teams for advanced troubleshooting and system enhancements.
3. Data & Analytic Support
  • Assist users with data analytics, including query development, data output and training on relevant tools.
4. Security & Compliance
  • Handle confidential data with discretion, ensuring security and compliance.

Supervision of Others:

Supervise sub-contractors and vendors for organizational I.T. projects.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, accounting or equivalent professional experience is required. Must have a minimum of three years practical experience in corporate databases, NetSuite applications experience preferred. Experience providing technical support to end users required. Must have experience in report writing and data analytics

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  1. Thorough knowledge and support of the RMEF's mission, goals, and organizational structure and activities.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in English spelling and grammer.
  3. Must be self-motivated, resourceful.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to influence decision-making and change.
  5. Strong customer service skills with a team-oriented mindset.
  6. Working knowledge of CRM and ERP systems, particularly NetSuite ERP.
  7. Proficiency in SQL and relational database management with the ability to write reports.
  8. Must have good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex information systems.
  9. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  10. Ability to document technical issues, resolutions and train/mentor members of the team
  11. Demonstrated ability to influence beyond the scope of their position
  12. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with end users and IT teams.
  13. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  14. Possesses a working knowledge of the business and/or technical environments in which the system operates, as well as the business function it supports

Job Overview:
