Job Description:

At Regions, the Quality Assurance Testing Analyst supports the application development organization by conducting software testing activities aimed to improve the functionality of applications systems across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs manual testing of applications

• Analyzes test data to determine pain points and recommend improvements or modifications to better meet customer needs

• Maintains documentation for testing activities and cases

• Collaborates with peers to create parameters and comparison data for improved accuracy

• Performs post-production validation

• May assist with coordinating non-functional testing activities, including performance testing, concert testing, and pen testing

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and six (6) years of quality or related experience

• Or Bachelor's degree in related field and two (2) years of quality or related experience

Preferences

• Familiarity with Regions' testing standards

• Working knowledge of software implementation methodologies

• Working knowledge of test case design and strategy

• Working knowledge of test management tools such as Azure DevOps, qTest, or Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL. Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Position Summary:

Oasys is actively seeking a Software Quality Assurance Testing Specialist to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) at the Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) Information Systems Division (ISD). In this role, you will play a key part in delivering secure, defect-free, and compliant software solutions by developing effective test strategies and integrating automation into DevSecOps pipelines.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with configuration managers, developers, system analysts, and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and mission requirements while maintaining the integrity of configuration baselines and system releases.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and automated testing frameworks for systems under configuration control.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, smoke, and performance testing in support of software releases, version updates, and configuration baseline deployments.
• Work alongside DevSecOps engineers to weave automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Validate that all software and hardware modifications adhere to QA standards, configuration baselines, and Authorizations to Operate (ATO) requirements.
• Assist in debugging and troubleshooting software issues; identify root causes and collaborate with developers for effective resolution.
• Execute audits, reviews, and compliance testing according to DHS 4300A, NIST 800-53, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Robust knowledge of software testing methodologies, QA best practices, and automated testing tools.
• Experience working in Agile DevSecOps environments and supporting enterprise application lifecycle QA.
• Familiarity with CMDB data validation, baseline integrity testing, and configuration item tracking in QA workflows.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and ability to collaborate with teams deploying software in containerized or cloud-based environments.
• Experience testing in federal environments subject to DHS or DoD security frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills; able to clearly communicate test findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Two years of directly relevant experience may substitute for one year of formal education.
• Minimum of one year in an Agile DevSecOps software and engineering environment and methodologies.
• Minimum of one year of experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience creating testing scripts and automation frameworks for cloud-based architectures.
• Experience with software testing and QA for mission-critical systems within DHS or DoD is preferred.

Clearance:

• Must have or be eligible to obtain a Position of Public Trust or DoD Secret Clearance.

Certification Requirement:

• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Additional certifications (Scrum Master (CSM), Network+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, ITIL Foundation, ISTQB Foundation, or Certified Software Tester (CSTE) or equivalent) are a plus.
