A client in the financial services technology industry is seeking a Java Engineer to join its Enterprise Identity organization. As part of an Agile Scrum team, the Engineer will partake in scrum meetings, being assigned user stories, and working on new development as well as testing and improving existing code. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about code quality, learning continuously new technologies and knows what questions to ask to get answers. Their fundamental experience should be backend engineering with an advanced knowledge of Java, Spring, both relational and NoSQL databases, as well as design patterns and design principles. They should also have a general understanding of authorizations and JWT tokens.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Software Engineer to play a key role in the modernization of a critical internal application. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on rebuilding and transforming a legacy system into a modern, cloud-native solution. You'll be part of a small, focused team and will help drive the architecture, design, and implementation of the new platform. You will lead the design and development of the new application built on Java and deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This will include partnering with other engineers and stakeholders to define scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
We are looking for a proven senior software engineer in an enterprise environment with deep Java development experience with modern Java frameworks. In addition, you will have hands on experience with Google Cloud Platform or another major cloud provider. You will possess a strong understanding of software architecture, API design and scalable system design.
**Responsibilities**
+ Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain technology solutions and ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements
+ Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites
+ Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain the continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline for technology solutions
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with team members to achieve innovative, business-results driven technology solutions

**Education & Experience**

+ Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
