- Maintains and repairs high voltage (i.e., > 4160V) wiring systems and associated equipment. Conducts preventative maintenance by checking the general condition of the equipment and the operating specs (e.g., timing on controllers, temperature and moisture levels of equipment, functioning of all bearings on motors, checks for loose connections).
- Repairs and maintains industrial power generation and associated power distribution systems including switch gear and generators. Diagnoses and repairs problems with relay logic control systems.
- Installs transformers, regulators, controls, switches, meters, motors, conduits and other electrical equipment in new or existing facilities.
- Installs electrical systems, fixtures, and associated equipment in keeping with all applicable local, state, and/or federal codes.
- Reviews blueprints, schematics, and other technical specifications in order to plan installation of electrical systems.
- Integrates new electrical systems including wiring, breaker boxes, fixtures, equipment, and/or heavy machinery into existing facilities.
- Pulls motors and replaces them to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Connects electrical wiring between controls and equipment, according to wiring diagrams, using electrician hand tools.
- Obtains and maintains required certifications, permits, or other necessary documentation.
- Reads and interprets information on blueprints and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot problems with equipment or integrate new equipment with existing systems.
- Interacts with various individuals from different agencies (e.g., Alabama Power) to perform work as needed (e.g., coordinate power shut off, adapt equipment, etc.).
- Conducts annual inspections of high voltage sites in jurisdiction.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Job involves physical exertion required for sustained periods of moderate physical exertion required for occasional prolonged periods of lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing, and climbing. May involve occasional lifting of items or objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed both within employer-owned facilities such as workshop and in field locations such as external places of business or construction worksites. The Registered Nurse, Case Manager is responsible for providing direct patient care, coordination of overall home care services and documentation of care for agency clients in accordance with Quality Standards and under the guidance of a Clinical Supervisor. This opportunity is perfect for RNs living in Jefferson County.
Home visits are conducted Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p, with one weekend per month required. There is No On-call required.
Performance Responsibilities and Standards:
* Ensure quality and safe delivery of home health services including (but not limited to): case managing of client caseloads, developing a plan of care based on client assessment and OASIS evaluation, developing a plan of care using the 'interdisciplinary' approach, and ensuring that all documentation meets quality standards.
* Completes all OASIS evaluations, documentation reflects nursing care and interactions, documentation is clear and concise and documentation is completed in a timely manner (meets organizational standards).
* Responsible for coordination of LPNs; provide guidance and education involving client care to LPNs, work in conjunction with direct supervisor (Clinical Supervisor) and Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to efficiently manage patients u sing a team approach while appropriately utilizing LPNs.
* Responsible for supervision/oversight of paraprofessional staff relevant to patient care; supervise home health aides in performing designated tasks related to patient care and per the care plan, and communicate appropriate information to home health aide department.
* Comply with all Nascentia Health policies & procedures and quality initiatives; maintain patient/employee confidentiality at all times, demonstrating knowledge and use of infection control, federal/state/local government rules and regulations and compliance to all agency policies/procedures.
* Must adhere and be knowledgeable of all organizational quality improvement standards.
* Maintain and update clinical knowledge on an on-going basis.
Job Qualifications:
* Current New York State registered professional nurse license (degree must be from an accredited school of nursing). BSN a plus.
* Current and valid driver's license and auto insurance, and a vehicle which can be used for work (we do have a Fleet Program for field clinicians).
* Self-directed and organized with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
* Previous home care/case management experience a plus
* Proficient computer skills (including knowledge of electronic medical records software) with ability to learn new software.
* Exceptional oral, written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to sit or stand at a desk 90% of the day
* Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity (including but not limited to): Pushing/pulling on average 50 lbs. with a max of 150 lbs.; lifting/carrying on average 25 lbs. with a max of 40 lbs.; patient transfers, extensive bending, standing, kneeling, walking in various weather conditions and ability to go up and down stairs.

Key Duties Responsibilities:
1. Develops therapeutic relationships, utilize concepts of reflection and motivational interviewing with women and their families in a home visiting environment. Maintains relationships throughout the healthcare continuum.
2. Assesses physical, emotional, social and environmental needs of women and their families as they relate to NFP domains. Provides education, support and referral resources in assisting women and their families in attaining their targeted goals. Demonstrates a willingness to meeting the learning needs of patients and families. Utilizes appropriate resources to meet the needs of families and to achieve positive results.
3. Participates in community coalition in support of NFP, promotes public awareness and develops/maintains community relationships to support client referrals. Creates an environment that promotes educational and growth opportunities for nursing peers and colleagues.
4. Supports policies, procedures, guidelines and standards of NFP and the lead agency.

7. Demonstrates leadership behaviors and is committed to the development of self and others. Adheres to nursing process and the NFP model of home visitation. Carries a case load of up to 25 clients.

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required and three (3) years of related experience preferred. Two (2) years recent experience in maternal/child health, public health, home visiting or mental/behavioral nursing preferred. Work experience may substitute for education requirements. Currently licensed or licensed by endorsement as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Current CPR Certification required. Valid Driver's License and insured automobile required.
This position will support the Jefferson County area of Central Alabama.
The successful candidate must pass an MVR check and provide proof of insurance in the amount of 100,000.00 per person, 300,000.00 per occurrence. Home visiting experience preferred. Individual must possess basic computer skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. A bilingual candidate who can speak Spanish is a strong preference. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekend shifts.
