Under limited supervision, the application developer will work with Senior Application Developers to perform the writing, testing and documentation of complex agency computer programs. The application developer will develop and implement specialized programs to supplement and enhance systems software in the Administration Program areas. To include integration and monitoring of supporting backend system processes and solutions, documentation, remediating, and solving customer issues. Emphasis will be placed on Public Health Administration systems.
Work in a team environment to implement, maintain and provide technical support for administration applications as assigned. Provided technical backup for Administration applications as assigned. Ensures seamless system integration with agency solutions. Adheres to information technology application development standards.
Assist with integration and monitoring of supporting system processes, stored procedures, and third-party solutions. Remediate and solve customer reported issues.
Act as technical consultant to customers and work with other technology staff to ensure applications adhere to Information Technology application development standards. Assist with problem resolution and support the IT Service Center by responding to application-related service calls.
Prepare and maintain system documentation for applications supported. Provide appropriate administrative documentation/project communication.
Employee will work under limited supervision. Must be customer-oriented and respond to priority tasks as needed. Some after-hour and weekend work may be required.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and work experience in computer programming. An associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for the required work experience.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Agency Additional Requirements: A high school diploma and work experience in computer programming. An associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience. Knowledge of information systems design, testing, debugging, analysis, maintenance and security techniques. Experience in writing Structured Query Language (SQL) queries, stored procedures, and Extensible Markup Language (XML). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently and effectively. Minimal amount of travel will be required.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and one (1) year experience of applicable software development and modification experience; Associates Degree and 2 years of applicable software development and modification experience; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of experience in computer programming or computer system development and modification in a Microsoft ASP.NET MVC framework (C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET) environment. Visual Studio C# .Net, Core experience using jQuery, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS and reporting in web application development; browser independent web application development experience using Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox.

JOB SUMMARY:
- This position is responsible for the installation, configuration and support of HRMC's hardware and software as well as all troubleshooting for the Center's equipment, answering the helpdesk phone and logging tickets.
- The position will use a computer, calculator, copier and general office equipment in a busy environment with multiple distractions.

COMPENSATION:

QUALIFICATIONS - Application Support
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of two years' experience in the following: Microsoft applications, hardware and software support, basic understanding of the structure of file and print servers, Active Directory, virtual desktops and troubleshooting remotely.
- Prior experience in helpdesk, customer service and desktop/technical support and required.
- Application must possess basic knowledge of information technology operations and have excellent people skills.
Education :
- Graduation from an accredited two-year college or technical school, with an Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
