Overview
The Project Engineering (PE) team at IQT provides technical direction and engineering implementation guidance to startups that are part of IQT's strategic investment portfolio. These startups deliver critical, cutting-edge technology to government partners in the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. This person will focus on the design, development, testing, migration, installation, deployment, maintenance, and support of a range of hardware and software technologies. These can include cloud infrastructure, AI/ML applications, geospatial analytic tools, data analytics platforms, large-scale data systems, multilingual translation tools, additive manufacturing tools, autonomous platforms, supply chain solutions, cybersecurity solutions, cryptocurrency, computer vision, SaaS products, wireless communications, RF systems, microelectronics, materials science, space systems, and biotechnology. The technologies emanate from early-stage start-ups that IQT has identified, evaluated, and invested in on behalf of our government partners.
Focus areas within the project engineering team include:
- Cloud (AWS) infrastructure | data | cybersecurity

Responsibilities
- Oversee the engineering design, development, implementation, and execution of 12-18 concurrent projects to effectively move technology from the commercial space to IQT's government partners.
- Advise on the capture and translation of mission and government customer requirements/needs into system-level requirements.
- Oversee requirements analysis, design implementation planning, integration and test, documentation, installation, and deployment of the technologies.
- Review and evaluate portfolio companies' products and/or services to determine whether it is functional using systems engineering principles, including verification of contractual requirements.
- Monitor and react to any technical concerns or feedback throughout the work program, while translating critical technical risks/issues into an actionable plan as they arise.
- Facilitate government evaluation of technology by proactively planning for solution transfer efforts, advising government users throughout a pilot of technology, and providing recommendations about operational support.
- Support the continual improvement of PE processes and tools to accomplish analysis, problem diagnosis and solution design, integration and test preparation, risk assessment and mitigation planning, and related activities.
- Due to contractual reasons, U.S. Citizenship is required
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Eagerness and willing to learn new domains and technologies across the entire hardware and software spectrum.
- Passion for supporting the US National Security mission.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task and support multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders and manage expectations.

+ certified surveys
+ building permits and approvals,
+ utility company approval letters
+ soil and foundation engineering reports
+ designer's certification of code and ADA compliance.

**Turner & Townsend Heery** is looking for an **Assistant Project Manager** to support various construction projects.
The Assistant Project Manager will lead individual, multi-disciplined construction project solutions for clients, with direct accountability for project delivery.

**Responsibilities:**
Under the guidance of a Project Manager assist with the following:
+ Manage projects involving the construction, cost allocations, time schedules, right of way acquisitions, permitting, bidding, contract requirements, inspections and change orders for building public infrastructures.
+ Monitor the work performance of consultant engineers and contractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
+ Make presentations and meet with stakeholders, contractors, community groups and Federal, state and local officials on a variety of issues concerning construction projects.
+ Maintain accurate records on project costs, time schedules, contractor performance, contract changes, and related capital project requirements.
+ Provide technical engineering assistance to professional, technical and office support staff.
+ Oversee the work performed by design engineers, construction inspection personnel, and contractual personnel.
+ Ensure a quality constructed project is completed within the prescribed time frame and operating budget.
+ Manage approved budget for the construction project to ensure work is being performed within the authorized amount of monies budgeted for the project.
+ Document changes in project cost, schedule, change orders and prepare written reports to managers on project status and problems needing resolution by management.
+ Conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of construction, review status of work completed during the period covered, review that work is generally proceeding in a good and workmanlike manner and in general accordance with the approved drawings and specifications.
+ Review contractors' direct cost payment requisitions and budget status, review of subcontracts, bonds/subcontractor default insurance, review of change orders, review of Developer's monthly Job Cost Reports, opine on adequacy of contingency, review of construction and disbursement schedules, review of lien waiver and other documentation submitted by the Developer.
+ Review contract drawings and specifications and opine for completeness and general compliance with commonly accepted architectural /engineering best practices.
+ Review and comment on construction and disbursement schedules as well as other submitted document including but not limited to: zoning approvals, certified surveys, building permits and approvals, utility company approval letters, soil and foundation engineering reports, and designer's certification of code and ADA compliance.
+ SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Supervisory Responsibilities:**
+ No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
+ Manages 3rd party project delivery resources/team (typically smaller team).
+ Responsible for tracking performance and motivating team members.
