Most positions are first shift with a pay scale based on experience and skill level. Operating Different Types of Heavy Equipment; Crane, Forklift, Excavator, Dozer, Backhoe, Loader, Skid Steer, etc.

Dig Pits, Trenches or Holes as Directed; Restore and/or Landscapes Disturbed Areas

Rough & Finish Grade
-
Asphalt Paving
-
Unloading & Transporting Materials
-
Pipe Laying
-
Other Duties as Needed
Requirements:

Previous Related Equipment Operation Experience

PPE must be worn

CDL & Certifications are Preferred

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves operating skid loaders, tractors, and other heavy machinery to support erosion control, landscaping, and general construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong equipment skills, knowledge of site work, and the ability to adapt to outdoor working conditions.
Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment including skid loaders and tractors

Perform grading and site preparation

Assist with erosion control installations such as silt fencing, wattles, and erosion matting

Support landscaping and restoration work (planting, seeding, mulching)

Inspect, maintain, and perform basic equipment upkeep

Follow safety procedures and site guidelines

Collaborate with crew members to complete projects on time

CDL with air brake endorsement

Average 50% Travel
Qualifications

2–3 years of experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer, loader, tractor)

General construction and landscaping knowledge

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Strong safety mindset and teamwork skills
-
CDL license with air brake endorsement but not required

Your duties will include performing daily pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality, maintaining equipment in good working order, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific procedures is paramount. You must be able to work effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues, and adapt to changing project demands. Experience with GPS-guided equipment and surveying techniques is a significant plus. Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, scrapers, and graders, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure operational readiness and identify potential issues.
- Execute earthmoving tasks such as digging trenches, backfilling, grading sites, and moving materials according to project plans and specifications.
- Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and work orders to understand project requirements.

- Ability to read and interpret site plans and work orders.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- CDL Class A or B may be preferred for certain roles.
