Responsibilities:

The Journeyman 1-Refrigeration is responsible for installation of refrigeration systems following customer specifications, applicable building code and proper piping practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provides support on construction job by piping cooler boxes and refrigeration cases, including electrical wiring as required to complete the project.

· Provides the required installation of pipe hangers as directed by the foreman.

· Provides construction support by welding and slip hosing copper pipes, and assists the foreman as needed on the job.

· Provides support by handing cooler box coils and installing new supermarket refrigeration systems or remodeling existing supermarket refrigeration systems.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education / Training

· High school diploma or GED, equivalent work experience and trade or technical school classes.

· EPA Certification (Type II).

Work Experience / Skills

· 5+ years of experience in the construction industry preferred and hands on field experience in commercial refrigeration, electrical and/or fixtures construction.

· Experience in copper brazing, market remodeling.

· Good driving record.

· Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations.

· Knowledge of carpentry.

· Knowledge of refrigeration systems and piping of refrigeration equipment.

· Knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, and ability to pipe refrigeration equipment.

· Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on refrigeration, electrical and plumbing.

· Ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers.

· Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills.

· Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance.

Your Responsibilities

As a Journeyman, you will be responsible for practicing best insulation practices and training insulation, plaster, sealer and spray helpers.
  • Install products as allowed by associated collective bargaining agreement and/or project labor agreement.
  • Understand blueprints and sketches. Measure, shape, and cut materials to specified measurements.
  • Insulate, spray, plaster, trowel, seal, cover, wrap, staple, glue and fit insulating/sealant/foam/materials.
  • Review your daily work schedule and ensure truck is loaded with all product(s), tools and equipment for the day.
  • Complete vehicle safety and job site inspections.
  • Safely unload and stage material at job site.
  • Report safety, customer or quality concerns.
  • Maintain a clean work area at all times.
  • Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned per the CBAs.
Your Qualifications
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • If operating a Company Vehicle, a valid driver's license will be required.


THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION

Travel Requirements

Type of Travel Required: Local; Out of town travel as required.

Daily travel to job sites.

Physical Requirements

Wachter is currently accepting applications for Journeyman Electricians to perform service and installation work in commercial and industrial environments. Looking for a motivated team player who can also work independently and find solutions to get jobs done. Long-term employment with an array of benefits for the right person. REQUIREMENTS:

    • Need a lead foreman on what we call heavy commercial projects. these projects are on industrial type sites but performing basic tasks.
    • The ideal candidate will have run larger projects with extensive time crunches. typically, we run a minimum of 4 techs per site. this being two licensed electricians and two apprentices.
    • Candidate should have good written and verbal communication
    • Candidate must have a desire to work up to 60 hours a week.
    • Candidate must be able to read blueprints; one lines and schematics.
    • Candidate must be able to perform multiple aspects of the trade, anything from small pipe and wire projects all the way to generator and UPS installs.
    • Current Journeyman's License
    • Scissor, Boom, Bucket lift experience as necessary for different types of installations
    • Knowledge and experience with industrial controls/automation, PLCs
    • Ability to run/bend conduit, pull and terminate wire in multiple scenarios
    • Must have Industrial/Manufacturing background in electrical systems and experience with voltages ranging from 24v DC to 480v AC
    • OSHA 10 or 30 would be a plus

Working with the Tool Room Manager, this position is responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of molds, mold components, jigs, fixtures, and specialised machinery. The role requires expertise in diagnosing and resolving mold-related issues, ensuring efficient performance and functionality. This position also involves collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to support production needs, maintain high-quality standards, and drive continuous improvement in tooling processes.

How Will I Make an Impact? A Day in the Life:

  • Use standard measuring equipment and apply advanced mathematics, including trigonometry and geometry, to ensure precision in tooling and machine setups.

  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and sketches to craft, construct, repair, and modify molds, tooling, fixtures, and related components.

  • Maintain proficiency in operating all Tool Room equipment and performing bench, machine, and finishing operations to condition and modify intricate plastic injection molds.

  • Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble mold tooling, ensuring functionality and adherence to design specifications.

  • Select appropriate materials for tool construction and repair, considering performance requirements, drafts, shrinkages, and tool design.

  • Achieve required mold finishes efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems using circuit diagrams, test meters, and other diagnostic tools.

  • Respond promptly to manufacturing support calls, resolving mold and tooling issues to minimize downtime.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, parts replacements, and labor hours.

  • Construct and repair machine shop tools, gauges, fixtures, and dies to ensure effective toolroom operations.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on special projects and assignments to support organizational goals.

  • Adhere to all safety laws and protocols for machine operations and tooling activities.

  • Assist with solving and repairing mold-related production issues.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve mold design, efficiency, and durability.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.

  • Assist in training apprentices or junior mold makers as needed.

  • Operate various hand tools, measuring instruments, and machining equipment to support other production needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience:

  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

  • Successful completion of a four-year apprenticeship or equivalent, demonstrable experience is required.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Mold Maker is essential.

  • Proficiency in mathematics, including trigonometry and geometry.

  • Valid certification to operate both stand-up aisle lift trucks and electric or gas sit-down forklifts.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $20.93–$31.40.
