The University of Washingtons School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Genetics is recruiting a full-time (100% FTE) Assistant, Associate, or full Professor, WOT (without tenure by reason of funding) on the Clinician-Scholar track, to serve as Medical Director, UW Genetic Medicine Clinic and Program Director, Medical Genetics Residency Program.
Specific rank will be commensurate withexperience and qualifications as generally described in UWs Faculty Code Section 24-34. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Associate and Professor WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UWs Faculty Code Section 24-34. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2026.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be expected to lead our nationally recognized clinical program. Duties will include primarily outpatient clinical responsibilities, with some inpatient clinical work at UW Medical Center Montlake or UW Medical Center Northwest Hospital. The successful candidate will work with and teach students and trainees, including medical students and medical genetics residents. Administrative responsibilities will include serving on Division, Department, and/or hospital committees, serving as Medical Director, UW Genetic Medicine Clinic, and serving as the Program Director, Medical Genetics Residency Program and support our joint Pediatric-Medical Genetics residency. The faculty member will work closely with the Division Head in the Division of Medical Genetics. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

Compensation Description (annually): The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $194,000 - $355,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location.
