Job Description

We're currently looking for a talented CAD Operator to join our Central Engineering team. This position will ensure the successful corporate deployment and adoption of CAD/BIM to leverage the complete construction data lifecycle, beginning with preconstruction services through construction.
**Roles & Responsibilities**
+ Works directly with Project management and field management teams
+ Develops 2D installation drawings and detail drawings from 3D model or sketches
+ Create Electrical floor plans, elevations and 1 line riser diagrams.
+ Models in 3D, coordinating internal and external models between Engineer-of-Record, Manufacturer, or BIM subcontractors
+ Performs site surveys
+ Create spool drawings and coordinate data with prefabrication
+ Meet weekly with project staff, providing updates to BIM scope status, percent complete, action items, integration with others
+ Works with BIM manager for strategy on multiple different projects
**Skills**
+ CAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft office
+ Revit and Navisworks, Leica, Matterport, Trimble preferred.
**Skill Level**
+ Entry Level drafter/CAD operator and modeler
+ Requires minimal training on software and continued training on electrical constructability
+ Requires minimal QA/QC for any work being submitted

As part of your work, you may also be required to visit active construction sites. These environments are naturally more dynamic and can include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, louder noise, and moving equipment. The applicant will join a team that employs Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). MBSE utilizes digital Mission Thread (MT) and Mission Engineering Thread (MET) models to provide a mission context to concept exploration, capability development, and throughout the systems engineering and acquisitions life cycles. MT models capture the sequence of operational objectives and tasks to achieve a desired mission effect. METs include the technical details of the capabilities and systems assigned to execute the mission. MBSE allows for virtual integration of innovative concepts and will streamline analysis to support planning and programming decisions.
MBSE is used to support the analysis of HAF A5/7 (AFF) concepts and requirements to assist with the development of Program Objective Memorandum (POM) recommendations. Such recommendations are based on coherent, analytically-sound evidence as captured in credible, validated digital models. Models are used to facilitate robust collaborations among Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the A5/7, ICC, and across stakeholder organizations, such as HAF A8 and A9, AFRL, and the Space Force. Models of the different AF missions and functions form constituent parts of a Mission Architecture that over time can become an Authoritative Source of Truth (ASoT) about future AF operations.

+ The DBA will be responsible for using data modeling tools on ORACLE and MS SQL databases:
+ Current state assessment report of existing ERwin models.
+ New or updated logical and physical data models in ERwin format (.erwin files).
+ Data dictionaries and model documentation.
+ Version-controlled repository of data models.
+ Identify data integrity and consistency issues.
+ Identify and aid with duplicate data resolution.
+ Provide reporting and recommendations to address these issues.
+ Weekly progress reports.
+ Final summary report at project closeout.
+ This position will also supplement our current SQL DBA force with production support activities such as adhoc daily tickets, version updates, security updates, etc. and may require working beyond normal business hours.
+ Candidate will be working in a team environment consisting of 6 database engineers and administrators and working directly with application architect, application developers, business analysts, and server support team.
**Daily duties / responsibilities:**
+ Create and update data models and documentation using ERWIN
+ Performing reverse and forward engineering of database structures.
+ Providing best practices for data modeling, metadata management, and documentation.
