  • Create compelling stories and scenarios that keep our players engaged with new content

  • Write and edit UX copy and in-game messages to immerse players

  • Collaborate with game designers, artists, and devs to align story with gameplay

YOUR BACKSTORY

  • Detail-oriented and collaborative

Game Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $93,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD 127,200 - 208,800 per year.

The Job

  • Story Development : Collaborate with the Game Director, Creative Director, and other stakeholders to shape the overarching story, lore, and universe of the game. Ensure the narrative aligns with the multiplayer dynamics and enhances player immersion.

  • Character Development : Design compelling characters with unique backstories, motivations, and growth arcs that resonate with players across various game modes. Bring in favorite characters from the existing canon and IP. Collaborate with designers and artists to make these characters vibrant in the world and feel alive.

  • World-Building : Develop a cohesive and engaging world that players can explore, interact with, and discover through in-game lore, dialogue, and events. Collaborate closely with the World design team to make sure the narrative is present throughout the world, activities, and missions/quests.

  • Dialog Writing : Collaborate with designers and other writers on the integration of dynamic dialog that responds to player actions and interactions in real-time multiplayer settings.

  • Collaborate with Design Teams : Work closely with level designers, mission designers, and gameplay teams to ensure narrative elements are harmoniously integrated into gameplay mechanics, objectives, and environments.

  • Story Integration in Multiplayer Systems : Craft narratives that adapt to multiplayer frameworks, including PvP (player vs. player) and PvE (player vs. environment) experiences, matchmaking, and live-service updates.

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration : Collaborate with a team of writers, and other narrative designers through the narrative development process. Provide clear feedback and ensure narrative consistency across all aspects of the game.

Qualifications & Essentials.

  • 7+ years of experience in narrative design, with at least 3-5+ years leading or owning major online multiplayer story and narrative

  • Deep understanding of multiplayer storytelling as it relates to a living and breathing world

  • Deep understanding of what makes ongoing stories in large multiplayer worlds tick, what makes characters in those worlds compelling, and how player stories take the forefront of narrative development

  • Deep understanding of how narrative and story can be woven into the fabric of the overall game design

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across departments, including design, engineering , art, narrative, and production.

  • Ability to conceptualize, prototype, and implement game features, strings, dialog, etc.

We are seeking a creative and versatile Content Writer to create compelling marketing content that effectively communicates complex investment concepts and highlights the organization's capabilities. This role focuses on producing tailored, engaging messaging across multiple marketing platforms, with a strong emphasis on digital channels. MUST have 5-7+ years of writing for an investment firm. Ideal candidate will be able to work two days a week in the Boston office but client is open to remote-first candidates. Salary is up to 130K depending on experience plus bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with investment teams, marketing, and other stakeholders to distill complex financial concepts into clear, audience-specific messaging.
· Develop marketing collateral such as SEO-optimized website copy, investment strategy descriptions, RFP language, and other brand materials.
· Draft investment thought leadership content using input from interviews, outlines, or presentations.
· Write marketing emails targeting wealth audiences, optimizing for engagement and lead generation.
· Partner with the Digital Marketing team to produce captivating social media content that drives engagement and follower growth.
· Create client communication materials (e.g., letters, talking points) to convey updates on organizational or investment strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
· Translate written content into other formats, such as videos or audio scripts, as needed.
Requirements
· 5-7+ years of relevant content creation experience.
· Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, or Communications (MBA, CFA, CAIA preferred).
· Experience in asset management with a strong understanding of investment strategies.
· Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
· Proficiency in creating content for diverse formats and channels, including digital marketing.

Role overview

We're looking for a Content Writer to join our U.S. based team. You'll work across multiple clients as part of a team, including account directors/managers, project managers and content directors. Reporting to the Sr Content Director, you will interact with client services team members to ensure content meets the clients' needs.

As a Content Writer at Publitek, you will:
  • Write short form pieces (such as blog posts and video scripts) as well as long form assets such as technical articles and whitepapers, and help the agency move into new types of content such as maker projects and event videos.
  • Lead sourcing calls with subject matter experts and do some desk research to gather information for content projects
  • Write briefs for client review, and refine and edit materials for accuracy, relevancy and quality
  • Prepare content briefs to define strategy, topics and tactics for review and approval prior to execution
  • Write across a wide range of content types: print, digital, video, social and others
  • Meet deadlines and plan beyond what's due next week
  • Become an internal resource for creating new content marketing opportunities for the agency
You'll bring:
  • A combination of experience as a B2B storyteller, content nerd and team player who loves understanding a challenging topic, finding the right story, and then making it all happen
  • Demonstrated experience in and understanding of the electronics industry and the major trends driving today's innovations
  • Experience in a marketing, journalistic or editorial role in which you helped to develop article ideas
  • An enthusiasm for trying new things and evolving best practices for content marketing
  • A creative mind melded onto an impeccable, detail-oriented writer and editor
  • At least 2 years in a content writing role (or similar role as a journalist, copywriter, product marketer, etc) with experience along the whole process from initial strategy all the way to final proofing
  • Tech B2B portfolio or writing samples: We need to see that you've mastered tough technical topics and created persuasive content for technology audiences
  • Fearlessness in the face of changing priorities, morphing schedules, unexpected client feedback and occasionally "making it up as we go along"
  • Understanding of the use of SEO to optimize content
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google apps
