- The Health Services Director is a licensed nurse responsible for coordinating resident care and medication management under the medical direction and supervision of the residents attending physicians to ensure the resident remains as independent as possible for as long as possible.
- Communicate with community healthcare professionals, including physicians, discharge planners, nurses, and state agencies on the care needs of all residents in the community.
- Coordinate incidental medical, dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry care for residents.
- Perform nursing duties as directed and in accordance with the appropriate scope of the Nurse Practice Act, including administering medications and performing treatments as ordered by a physician.
- Oversee and provide the necessary training for Medication Technicians.
- Administer resident pre-admission assessment prior to each residents move-in date and complete routine and as-needed reassessments in accordance with company policy and state regulations.
- Interview potential residents and families and obtain medical records and other requirements as outlined in Title 22 for admission to the community.
- Conduct staff interviews and observe residents on a continual basis to alert the Executive Director, responsible party, and others of changes in the physical or emotional health of the resident. Provide the Executive Director with information relative to the care staffs ability to meet those needs.
- Must be a Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse holding a valid California nursing license in good standing
- Prefer two (2) years of experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- Prefer one (1) year of experience supervising and managing employees
- Able to obtain a valid Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) license
- Able to effectively teach/train staff
- Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Must pass a criminal background clearance before beginning work
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
- Able to obtain and maintain valid first aid and CPR certification
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests

The County of Orange , Health Care Agency is seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic clinical mental health evaluations and participate in a psychotherapeutic program for the severely and persistently mentally ill clients within the Orange County Jail system.
Responsibilities:
- Assess clients for current level of functioning and psychiatric history

Correctional Health Services (CHS) is comprised of two separate entities, Adult Correctional Health Services (ACHS) and Juvenile Health Services (JHS). Juvenile Health Services (JHS) provides medical, nursing, dental and pharmaceutical services at a community standard of care for youth who reside in the County's four residential facilities operated by County of Orange Probation (OC Probation) and Social Services Agency (SSA) Departments. The Opportunity As a Dental Assistant II, the incumbent will provide hands on assistance to the dentists in the care and treatment of patients. Due to the types of patients served and the cases seen, the clinic requires one on one support for the dentist and the dental team. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing dental services in accordance with the policies and procedures of the dental department
- Operating dental radiography equipment for the purpose of oral radiography

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's degree* from an accredited college or university - AND- Either

Veteran Outreach Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This is not an exhaustive task list, and other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate or necessary by the supervisor or program director. Summary: Under the general supervision of the Program Director, through the application of intensive community outreach, identify and assist homeless and at-risk of homeless veterans and families with accessing services and resources through the Veteran Resource Center based on the psychosocial rehabilitation model of treatment and services. The SSVF Veteran Outreach Specialist will also be responsible for outreaching those veterans located in housing, streets, referrals, etc., to determine eligibility for the program by administering the SSVF Assessment tool.
- Maintain an outreach log of prospective veterans in SSVF program and provide the number of Veterans outreached in the community on a bi-weekly basis to program intake staff.
- Provide information and resource linkage for veterans in the service area by direction to Veteran Resource Center
- Work as part of a team, makes regular visits to local institutions and other community sites where homeless veterans are known to be present (i.e., community shelters, community access centers, local veteran's services, hospital emergency rooms, local jail, soup kitchens, community parks, other social service agencies, etc).
- Establish and maintain good rapport and regular contact with local agency workers and administrators (i.e., police, fire, MET team, emergency room workers, parks & recreation workers, etc.) who are a source of referrals of homeless veterans in need of assistance and services
- Participate actively in the program's established system(s) for accepting and responding to community-based requests to provide assistance for homeless veterans.
- Implement strategies for and conducts outreach to hard-to-engage homeless veterans who are identified by local community referral sources, or who are living on the streets in the identified community/service area
- Assists SSVF Team with Veterans in locating requested services to include: housing, food, health care, benefits, transportation and entitlements, etc. on a case by case basis or at Program Manager or Director's request.
- Provide identification of and prescreening for eligibility of potential applicants.
- Coordinate initial screening and assessment with case management team, participates in Stand Downs and all other VA/community outreach activities as directed by Program Manager
- Provide information about SSVF services and information on community resources to current and potential participants
- Work cooperatively with team members to help ensure smooth and seamless delivery of comprehensive services to program participants
- Participate in staff and community meetings and in the day-to-day operations of the program as needed
- Maintain all records and documentation needed for program compliance and accountability in accordance with MHALA standards and SSVF requirements, and all billing and supporting documentation shall be entered into LAHSA's HMIS (data record system) within 24 hours from the date of service delivery
