Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a **Deputy Operations Program Manager (OPM) (Sr. Principal Technical Services Project Management)** based out of **Sunnyvale, CA** .
The Deputy OPM leads and directs one or more project teams in the professional services arena. Prepares project execution plan and coordinates activities between client and company personnel. Monitors project completion from initiation through delivery to meet revenue and cost projections. Oversees performance of projects or engagements and typically utilizes management skills more than technical skills. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team(s).
Working under an Operations Program Manager and with manufacturing operations functional management, you will be part of the team responsible for execution of the manufacturing scope of a multi-million dollar naval Launcher program. In this role, you will help guide and lead the manufacturing team by ensuring manufacturing issues and road blocks are resolved quickly, and that the manufacturing program(s) perform on time and on budget. You will be a key point of contact within manufacturing for the program.
**What you will get to do:**
+ Resolve manufacturing issues by working with cross functional teams.
+ Coordinate responses with functional organizations to keep projects on schedule.
+ Propose, plan/baseline, and execute to performance management baseline.
+ Perform risk and opportunity management functions for the manufacturing scope in concert with the overall program RSKOM.
+ Perform EVMS and cost account management functions.
+ Resolve material, manpower, and machine issues to ensure successful manufacturing performance.
**Basic Qualifications for a Deputy OPM:**
+ Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; OR a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree (Note: an additional 4+ years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Program and/or Project Management.
+ Experience using ERP systems.
+ Travel as required (generally less than 10%).
+ Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
+ U.S. citizenship is required.
**Preferred Qualifications for a Deputy OPM:**
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Experience working on government contracts.
+ Experience with Earned Value Management.
+ Experience with manufacturing production proposals.
+ Experience managing hardware production activity.
+ Experience with SAP in a low volume, high mix manufacturing environment.
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
+ 3 or more years of experience in Earned Value Management.
+ PMP certification.
Primary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
