Here's What You Will Do:
+ Assess patient health risks, needs, and interests.
+ Assist RN with patient assessment on admission to the program and assist with the development of comprehensive individualized exercise program.
+ Provides instruction necessary for the safe and effective performance of exercise activities, and promotion of secondary prevention to individuals who are limited by cardiac disease to improve functional capacity and lower cardiovascular risk factors.
+ Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs.
+ Competent in the use of Scott Care telemetry, obtaining accurate HR, BP, RR, and cardiac rhythm.
+ Demonstrates proficiency in the setup and operation of all monitoring and exercise equipment.
+ Plans, implements, evaluates documents patient education.
+ Completes shift assignments for equipment maintenance, and all other tasks related to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
+ Seeks assistance/ supervision/ consultation as needed and reports to supervisor any problems and/or solutions regarding delivery of services.
+ Provides administrative support as needed, including but not limited to assisting patients with registration for cardiac rehab, receiving phone calls, providing information on cardiac rehab services, scheduling appointments, organizing charts, etc.
+ Assists with quality control procedures.

Job Summary
The Kinesiology program in the School of Exercise, Sports, and Health Science in the College of Health at Oregon State University invites applications for one or more fixed term, non-tenure track full/part-time Instructor positions to teach courses on a term-by-term basis for the academic year.
Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the School Head.
Salary is competitive and will be negotiated with the School Head.
The Kinesiology major prepares students for careers in physical activity and fitness/wellness such as organizing, directing or managing physical fitness programs; personal trainer; fitness instructor; exercise physiologist; strength and fitness coach; and fitness entrepreneur. The degree can also serve as preparation for applications to a master's level physical education teacher education program, medical school, a professional program in the allied health professions (e.g. physical or occupational therapy, nursing, physician assistant) or other graduate education.

Part-Time Faculty Position

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is recruiting Part-Time Faculty to teach courses in Kinesiology for Massage for the Department of EPIC. The college welcomes qualified applicants from all backgrounds for temporary Part-Time Faculty teaching assignments. We seek a pool of qualified candidates to teach in-person, online, or hybrid courses when PT Faculty vacancies occur. At TMCC, Part-Time Faculty are paid $1,050 per credit to teach 100- and 200-level courses, and $1,150 per credit to teach 300- and 400-level courses.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Kinesiology, Health Science, Nursing, Biological Science or closely related field, from an accredited institution or Licensed Massage therapists, Physical Therapist or Personal Trainer with previous teaching experience in a higher education institution.
