Key Responsibilities :

Cluster Management

In this role, you will possess an excellent understanding of containerization with concentration in OpenShift and EKS. You will have experience with System configuration tools like Ansible. You will possess cluster maintenance and administration experience on OpenShift and Kubernetes. You will manage the container platform ecosystem (installation, upgrade, patching, monitoring). You will check and apply critical patches in OpenShift/Kubernetes. You will troubleshoot issues in OpenShift Clusters, perform Root Cause Analysis and produce reports for critical issues, ensure the availability of OpenShift clusters, and manage OpenShift Management Components and Tenants.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Level 4 Kubernetes Administrator to join our Shared Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, managing, and optimizing Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments. You will serve as the go-to expert for Kubernetes, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of containerized workloads, and mentoring junior engineers in best practices.

• Design, deploy, and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-prem environments

• Implement best practices for CI/CD, monitoring, logging, security, and cluster governance.

Compensation:

The target salary range for this position is 141,100 - 210,100 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The Principal Cloud Platform Operations Engineer is a senior position within the VCP Core Webscale team. This position is responsible for the onboarding and operational support for applications within Verizon Cloud Platform. This position will be responsible for system administration, network administration for upstream and downstream network elements supporting the 5G Core. The Principal Engineer position must excel in technical theory and documentation. The Principal Engineer will function as a subject matter expert in automation and cloud computing and will leverage those skills to drive efficiencies.

In this role. the candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of feature designs and will provide feedback to engineering for solutions to improve reliability and performance. The candidate will partner with key stakeholders to ensure new features and or fixes are swiftly tested and rolled out with no negative impact to customers.
