We are seeking a dedicated Lab Analyst to support testing and analytical functions within a laboratory that operates in support of a nuclear fuel production facility. Responsibilities include reagent preparation, sample analyses, instrument calibration and troubleshooting, result calculations, data management, and operation of instrumentation. The role involves working with uranium and other materials used in fuel production.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare reagents and perform sample analyses.
+ Calibrate and troubleshoot analytical instruments.
+ Calculate results and manage data effectively.
+ Operate a variety of laboratory instrumentation.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 18 months of experience using analytical instrumentation outside of school.
+ Experience with HPLC, GC, ICP-MS, Optical Spectroscopy, or Chromatography.
+ Proficiency in sample preparation, data interpretation, and procedure adherence.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
The position is based in an industrial laboratory setting. You will be part of a small team of three, within a larger group of ten, under the guidance of one manager. The work schedule is primarily 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 3 PM, with the possibility of weekend work.

This position will function as a team member in the high throughput Seed Quality Testing Laboratory supporting the Product Supply Organization and key customers/colleagues in cross functional areas.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Timely, accurate preparation, evaluation, and recording of seed analyses.
+ Under the direction of Lab Operations Managers and/or Lab Coordinators complete the testing processes ensuring process control, accurate data management, timely escalation of problem solving, and error correction. Ability to learn and apply scientific methods and non-routine techniques for analysis as directed by protocols and work instructions to deliver quality results - which may include preparation of reagents, media, controls and sample preparation.
+ Work independently within a team environment to ensure all testing is conducted in compliance with Bayer ESH policies, Laboratory QMS and protocols, and Regulatory agency requirements.
+ Provide oversight and task related feedback to contingent labor Maintain reagents and consumables to required inventory levels. Participate in a continuous improvement program focused on enhancing current processes and performing root cause analyses/troubleshooting of issues
+ Participate in Bayer's ESH safety program and cross-site projects/initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform analytical testing on raw materials, in-process and final products, and stability samples using balances, pipettes, pH meters, UV/Vis spectrophotometers, TOC analyzers, and more.
+ Conduct chromatography (HPLC, GC) testing following comprehensive training and qualification.
+ Execute wet chemistry assays and routine water sample collections.

**Quality Operations (QO) Lab Analyst**
**Location:** Michigan
**Position Overview:**
The QO Lab Analyst plays a key role in supporting the company's quality program by performing testing and analysis on raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, APIs, utilities, and/or finished products in a fast-paced, customer-focused laboratory environment. This position requires a balance of technical skill, attention to detail, and adaptability to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all lab operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform, document, and verify qualitative and quantitative assays using a range of methods, from standard lab equipment to advanced automated instrumentation.
+ Support manufacturing quality control activities, including cleaning verification, as needed.
+ Interpret and evaluate data for accuracy, precision, trends, and potential GMP impacts; recommend corrective actions when necessary.
+ Maintain high productivity and accuracy while managing multiple priorities.
+ Demonstrate flexibility and engagement in a dynamic, changing environment.
+ Apply proper laboratory techniques to avoid cross-contamination or sample misidentification.
+ Conduct both routine and non-routine analyses from compendial and internal sources.
+ Train colleagues as skills and knowledge allow.
+ Participate in laboratory investigations and contribute to assay protocols, process qualifications, and instrument qualifications.
+ Quickly learn and apply new skills and technologies.
**Education & Experience:**
+ AAS, BA/BS, or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific field.
+ Minimum of 2 years' related experience in Quality Operations preferred.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in:
+ **At least one** high-complexity technology (e.g., HPLC, uHPLC, GC, advanced spectroscopy), **or**
+ **Two or more** low-to-medium complexity technologies (e.g., TLC, titrations, wet chemistry/physical testing, water testing).
**Additional Requirements:**
+ Occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs, reaching, and extended sitting at a computer workstation.
+ Must not be sensitive to Cephalosporin or Penicillin.

**Pay Details:** $0.00 to 35.00 per hour

Viridian Staffing's ( Client is looking for a Laboratory Analyst to join a cannabis testing facility in the Gainesville, Florida, area
Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing ( is the premier staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry.
In this role, you will analyze samples using laboratory techniques including but not limited to HPLC, GC/MS, LC/MS, and ICP/MS. You will get the opportunity to perform method validations and interpret/evaluate data in terms of accuracy, precision, trends, and quality control, along with preparing calibration curves and quality control samples. You have a 'roll up your sleeves' attitude, so you are open to preparing samples, helping to clean laboratory equipment, and managing inventory supplies. You may have the opportunity to help develop SOP's, participate in root cause analysis for quality assurance and assist with training of other analysts. After analyzing the results and any quality assurance issues, you will use your attention to detail in order to review the data and report for completeness and accuracy.
Your background should be a Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Biology, Environmental Sciences or relevant degree and at least 1+ year of practical experience in a laboratory environment. You have experience with one or more of the following: HPLC, GC/MS, and ICP/MS techniques. You have experience working in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment and have working knowledge of logging, organizing, and analyzing data. You have exceptional communication skills, enabling you to explain (and you enjoy explaining) complex scientific information to non-scientific individuals. You have solid experience using MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. The ability to frequently stand and handle and feel is required while performing the duties of this job.
