Qualcomm's Visual Technology Team is seeking a Lab Support Engineer to work in the XR Advanced Technology Group, responsible for providing technical support for XR test systems. Work is done independently drawing on the experience of others as necessary. Responsible for testing XR devices/peripherals, assembling custom prototypes, and maintaining the lab space.
A successful candidate will be responsible for:
+ Testing camera and display modules for key performance metrics and tabulating results.
+ Running metrology equipment to perform color performance measurements of reference device XR displays to spot check for device manufacturer compliancy.
+ Operate custom robotics, in conjunction with high-speed camera rigs to capture real-time performance of XR devices.
+ Maintain our fleet of XR devices keeping them demo ready, including performing SW upgrades, installing demo applications, and battery charging.
+ Manage and organize the XR lab space, including inventory management for parts, consumer VR devices, and reference platforms.
+ Operate and maintain the XR team's 3-D printer.
+ Electronics assembly, wire assembly, and basic soldering for prototype hardware.
+ Working on multiple project assignments simultaneously, self-setting priorities, and driving tasks to completion.
+ Perform with limited supervision and direction from the project lead.
**Minimum Qualifications**
High School diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of experience with design, development, R&D, or similar experience in Electronics or related area.
Ability to use a VR/AR headset for a maximum of 2 hours per day, up to 30 minutes per session, without ill effects.

+ **Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing**
+ **Communicate effectively with client office staff**
+ **Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems**
+ **Meet department activity and production goals**

+ **Ability to accurately identify specimens**
+ **Experience working in a team environment**
+ **Strong data entry and organizational skills**
+ **High level of attention to detail**
+ **Proficient in MS Office**
+ **Ability to lift up to 40lbs.**

This is a part time day shift Lab Support Technician position for the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic main working a total of 20 hours per week.
**A one-time sign on bonus is available to qualified individuals for up to $2,500 (less taxes) with a 2 year service commitment**
**Job Summary:**
Under direct supervision, this position performs routine laboratory tasks according to procedures. May perform phlebotomy and/or waived testing. May also perform a variety of general clerical duties to support the laboratory department, including receptionist and secretarial support, admission activities, and order entry processing.
**Job Responsibilities and Requirements:**
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Assists customers including answering phones and responding to customer inquiries.
+ Assists laboratory staff in the daily operation of the lab by collecting, labeling, processing and preserving blood, urine and other specimens according to established laboratory procedures.
+ Enters, accesses and executes lab orders in the appropriate laboratory and electronic medical record system.
+ Cleans and maintains laboratory supplies and work area.
+ May update statistical records, labels tubes, and schedules processing runs.
+ May perform phlebotomy and/or waived testing.
+ Identifies patients using two identifiers.
+ Performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties including admission activities, insurance verification, order entry processing and medical record processing.
+ Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
+ High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
+ Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
+ Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
+ Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
+ Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
+ Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
+ Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
+ Rare climbing.
