Role Overview
As a Lab Technician at Lasso, you'll play a hands-on role in our R&D lab, directly supporting the development of next-generation food products and breakthrough manufacturing technologies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, precision, and working cross-functionally to keep projects moving forward.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute established experiments across product and engineering teams by following standard procedures, collecting accurate data, and reporting results.
- Manage and maintain R&D inventories, including ingredients and consumables.
- Maintain and calibrate core analytical instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Oversee routine cleaning and maintenance of cooking and lab equipment.
- Help organize and maintain collaborative R&D spaces, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Under general supervision, the lab assistant will perform specimen processing, scan and record the specimen in the system. Job requires a
professional level of knowledge, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret tests independently, and communicate results clearly. The following
duties are characteristic of this classification. Overtime may be required as determined by workload.
Job Description:

Process 100+ specimen of different types per day

First line of defense as specimen enter the lab

Scan and record in computer that specimen arrives in lab and ensure is routed to correct part of department

Check tube type and label on tubes to ensure accuracy

Work with other technicians and medical technologists to ensure that most pressing samples are handled first

Answer phone calls from providers and other labs to make sure samples are being handled correctly
Qualifications:
- Reliability and strong work ethic is a must
Hours:
- Monday - Friday 8AM - 4PM
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

The day-to-dayMost of your time will be spent in the labs working setting up developer or test work stations. This may involve assembly and disassembly of equipment, test equipment setup, hardware level testing, and performing and developing acceptance test criteria.
What you'll need- Experience with rework of surface mount components.
- Experience performing blue wire adds for engineering change orders
- Knowledgeable in test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG probes.
- Networking fundamentals
- Junior admin level knowledge of windows and linux base operating systems
- Read and understand mechanical drawings and electronic schematics
