Our client, a research institute for applied science and technology development is seeking a **Lab Technician** to join their team. This role requires extensive experience in necropsy and lab work, a commitment to safety and compliance, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding environment.
**Laboratory Technician**
**Location:** Norwell, MA
**Pay Rate:** 20-25/hr
**Duration:** 6 months, potential for extension/conversion
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Initiate and perform sample processing following written SOPs and project QAPPs
+ Conduct and document appropriate quality control and assurance procedures for monitoring and evaluating the quality of sample preparation procedures.
+ Enter data and observations into LIMS
+ Independently work on projects with minimal oversight from Team Leads.
+ Conducing solid phase extraction (SPE) techniques
+ Operate and/or monitor, and maintain standard laboratory equipment such as Geno/Grinder, Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) apparatus, ASE, HPLC, balances, GPC, centrifuges, etc.
**Job Requirements**
+ Interest in preparation of environmental samples for chemical analysis.
+ I am interested in laboratory operations and analytical methods.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office tools
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in team environment.
+ Excellent record keeping skills.
+ Good interpersonal and communication skills required.
+ Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Prepare units for frozen storage.
Collect and store samples from plasma units for testing.

Prepare frozen plasma units and samples for shipping following established protocol.
Organize plasma boxes/documents for scheduled shipments and assist in loading shipments.

Senior Bacterial Core Lab Technician

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Bacterial Core Lab Technician to provide research support administration services for our government customer in Frederick, MD. In this role you will get to manage BSL-3 laboratory operations and conduct various animal studies to support research on bacterial pathogens and potential therapeutic compounds.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for BSL-3 laboratory operations and training in animal manipulations, performing approximately 5 animal studies in both DTRA funded projects and contracted work.
  • Perform in vitro Minimum Inhibition Concentration (MIC) testing of potential therapeutic compounds against Tier 1 bacteria, testing over 72 compounds per year against 30-strain diversity sets.
  • Participate in small animal studies, including preparation and administration of antibiotics and vaccines, and collection of animal body fluids and tissues.
  • Conduct animal health exams to ensure compliance with IACUC approved protocols.
  • Participate in weekly lab meetings, assist in development and design of in vitro and in vivo work, and present posters at scientific conferences.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Bacterial Core Lab Technician to provide research support administration services for our government customer in Frederick, MD. In this role you will get to manage BSL-3 laboratory operations and conduct various animal studies to support research on bacterial pathogens and potential therapeutic compounds.
Regular hours of work with the possibility of Weekends or extra weekly hours if needed.
What You'll Be Doing:
+ Responsible for BSL-3 laboratory operations and training in animal manipulations, performing approximately 5 animal studies in both DTRA funded projects and contracted work.
+ Perform in vitro Minimum Inhibition Concentration (MIC) testing of potential therapeutic compounds against Tier 1 bacteria, testing over 72 compounds per year against 30-strain diversity sets.
+ Participate in small animal studies, including preparation and administration of antibiotics and vaccines, and collection of animal body fluids and tissues.
+ Conduct animal health exams to ensure compliance with IACUC approved protocols.
+ Participate in weekly lab meetings, assist in development and design of in vitro and in vivo work, and present posters at scientific conferences.
