Responsibilities:- The Quality Control Manager plays a vital role in supporting the project team throughout the entire project lifecycle, from preconstruction planning to project completion.
- Reviews drawings and submittals with the project team for conformance with project requirements.
- Communicates regularly with Project Managers to provide quality control updates and advise of issues or problems that may affect progress.
- Develop site-specific quality procedures and review with Project Engineer as necessary to support the project requirements.
- Assist jobsite leadership with resolution of client complaints that are quality related.
- Order and receive needed project materials and equipment as advised.
- Coordinate and administer weekly quality meetings and/or identification of safety meeting elements relevant to quality.
- Monitor quality practices daily, along with ongoing inspections to minimize the need for corrections and punch-list items.
- Implement the delegated authority to stop work in the event of quality issues.
- Provide direction to the Project Engineer on quality related items and maintain priority on critical path items necessary to keep the project schedule.
- Monitor subcontractor and vendor performance with respect to timeliness, efficiency, and quality.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive quality control reports detailing inventory, calibration status, document control logs, ongoing and completed work items, weather conditions, and any emerging quality issues.
- Provide weekly updates for as-built conditions and continual maintenance of safety logs.
- Enforce and champion the requirements of the site quality program (including the processing of any required revisions) and other project quality and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure all project close-out documents are complete and submitted.
- Act as a Lead Auditor to plan, perform, report quality audits of a variety of construction activities.
- Perform physical inspection of a variety of discipline activities which may include but not limited to; piping, civil, concrete, fixed and rotating equipment, electrical, control systems, coatings, insulation, and non-destructive testing.
- Performs additional assignments per Division Manager’s request.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other necessary software.
- Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations and reporting processes for civil and mining projects.
- Ability to represent the Company professionally with external organizations and internal stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills to manage effectively at all organizational levels.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Skill in resolving problems with multiple variables in standardized situations.
- Strong business judgment and common sense for making recommendations and decisions.
- Skilled in multi-tasking and thriving in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of the Company, vendors, clients, and regulatory agencies at jobsites and the Corporate office.

Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with major coursework in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years as a Quality Manager in Heavy Construction and Project environments.

Summary
The Quality Control Manager directs all site quality control activities and manages the inspection staff. Typically certified as Inspector Level II or III in various disciplines.

Requirements

* Quality assurance-related experience preferably in the nuclear power industry (DOE/DOD facilities).
* Quality inspector experience.
* Demonstrated skill and knowledge with applicable quality codes and standards preferably NRC regulations.

The Quality Control Manager plays a vital role in supporting the project team throughout the entire project lifecycle, from preconstruction planning to project completion. Reviews drawings and submittals with the project team for conformance with project requirements. Communicates regularly with Project Managers to provide quality control updates and advise of issues or problems that may affect progress. Develop site-specific quality procedures and review with Project Engineer as necessary to support the project requirements. DMCS Contact Center Quality team is an essential part of the DMCS program. Its objective is to utilize operational techniques and activities to satisfy quality requirements. QC activities generate testing or review results of work efforts and provide feedback that supports Quality Assurance (QA) and drives continuous improvement.
