Human Resources Labor Relations
Bring your experience and ideas to help us manage labor issues, negotiate agreements, and resolve disputes in a unionized environment. Youll collaborate with HR business partners, production/site leaders, unionized employees and leadership to ensure stability and compliance. This role will be an integral part of the team, driving positive employee relations and supporting Bells overall success.
What youll be doing as a Labor Relations Specialist
- Support labor and employee-related activities, including understanding collective bargaining agreements, arbitration cases, and policies, while providing guidance to HR teams and managers.
- Assist in negotiating contracts, such as collective bargaining agreements, effects bargaining agreements, and settlement agreements, while contributing to strike preparedness efforts and union-free initiatives.
- Resolve disputes and grievances by working with union leadership and business agents, evaluating arbitration cases, and preparing necessary documentation.
- Provide training to managers and supervisors on contract interpretation, grievance handling, union avoidance, and positive employee relations, while supporting labor updates and quarterly calls.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve employee relations, address workplace issues, and ensure compliance with labor laws, while identifying systemic issues and developing solutions.

This role collaborates closely with labor relations leadership, HR partners, and other Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure that wage, benefit, and workforce changes aligned with union contracts are accurately administered, documented, and communicated. This position also supports the management of union-related information requests and bargaining preparation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Advises and consults with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Compensation, and Benefits teams to ensure collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) are accurately implemented and administered. · Acts as a liaison between Labor Relations leadership and system partners, helping to align CBA requirements with enterprise policies and system-wide initiatives. · Supports represented entities by responding to union information requests (e.g., for bargaining, grievances, or labor-management meetings) and ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations. · Partners with Field HR and Colleague Service Center staff to provide guidance on contract interpretation and application in day-to-day operations. · Tracks and manages deliverables related to contract language, including seniority lists, job postings, eligibility reports, and other union-required communications. · Collaborates with HRIS and Payroll teams to audit and ensure the accuracy of wage, benefit, and accrual system updates resulting from contract ratifications. · Monitors contract compliance through audits of HR and payroll data; identifies discrepancies and supports resolution efforts to prevent recurring issues. · Supports continuous improvement by maintaining databases and systems for labor relations reporting (e.g., grievance and discipline logs, wage implementation trackers). · Prepares data analyses and summaries for use in bargaining, contract costing, and wage proposal development. · Identifies trends in labor data (e.g., wage parity issues, turnover patterns, or benefit utilization) and collaborates with leadership to recommend data-driven solutions. · Assists in root cause analysis of labor relations issues to support proactive problem-solving and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Serves as an administrative partner during negotiations, providing document preparation, proposal tracking, and costing summaries in collaboration with the Compensation Specialist.
