The Pathology Department is seeking aClinical Laboratory Specialist will oversee and conduct a variety of complex tests and lead in the development of new assays and techniques. The Clinical Laboratory Specialist will work with Pathologists and others to perform tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform assay development.
• Apply subject matter expertise and knowledge to execute tests and analyze results.
• Teach learners assigned to the lab, e.g. residents and clinical research fellows
• Lead and/or participate in laboratory projects
• Exercise independence in reviewing, understanding, and applying information found in literature in consultation with pathologists.
